Worked! Was originally like "WTF?!" as my disc would just spin a tiny bit then stop - changed my media to a different brand and boom - worked on the 3rd try. Thanks so much!

Thanks! This really worked for me on my Model 2 Saturn, but I hear the timing to swap the official disc is more difficult on Model 2 consoles. I find that to be true since it took me quite a few tries to get the burned disc to load. I'd recommend burning the Pseudo Saturn AR flasher and any other Saturn games using UltraISO, preferably at 8x-10x speed and make sure "Disc-at-Once (DAO)" is checked. Now I can play House of the Dead with red blood (US version) and explore the Sonic World in Sonic Jam.

Holy moly, this worked! I've been trying to follow other tutorials with NO results, then I watch your video and - BOOM! - I boot into the Pseudo Saturn flasher disc first try (even if my copy of Panzer Dragoon Zwei flew off into the corner of the room after I swapped it out of the drive)! Thanks man, this worked great! Best explanation I could find. The others make it complicated or use the access light to swap etc (model 2 doesn't have this) If anyone is having issues with not enough memory, burn the lite version of Pseudo Saturn Kai, happened to me. Also using the action replay screen helped tremendously, other tutorials don't mention that and I got lost.

for some reason you going "right dere" and then me walking over to my saturn in the other room was the only tutorial that worked for me, everyone overcomplicates it and also happens to be using a model 1, no one even suggests doing it within the action replay loader, it makes it so much easier!! couldn't get this to work for the life of me with the swap trick i usually do.

I was able to pull off the swap, but unfortunately after flashing, the verification failed every time :( I haven't been able to pull off the swap on my Japanese system to try the flash on it.

Last time I checked most of the Sega Saturn consoles have the sensor closer to where the power plug goes, most people will probably have to open up their units in order to make it think it's open all the time. My console looks the same as yours on the outside but internally there's nothing in that area, it's literally just a piece of plastic that holds down the lid for me.

I have a Sega Model 2 White Japanese version. This is what I did to flash my AR cart. Turn off the sound. Put in your Pseudo Saturn Kai iso disc. Turn on your system and listen for the lens to move. Switch to a real disc. I used Puzzle Bobble 2x. Wait for the disc to start spinning fast and switch back to the PSKai iso disc. Once the disk is loaded press R and select Firmware Flasher. Guys I made 6 different PSKai iso discs at different speeds and on different computers trying to get this to work. My advice is if the disk burned fine then try different Swap disc methods first. lol

I knew this. . You just proved many youtubers full of crap and want kids and people to hurt themselves as well as break their Saturn's. Open console to mess with disc drive, that info could only come out in this social Web era. . This video should go gold.. I have a way to do many things and that crap about hacked after twenty years for the Saturn is nonsense because long ago some of us were using the video card to load and dump everything and back then we just played one of two games the most so no need to mod and not pay for stuff. I come from that era of *look what I got, the actual copy of* , people only do that today and go out and buy old consoles and act like they had it on the closet all this time and they actually owned one long ago and played arcades, listen, the moment I don't see street fighter ii or daytona heck even WWF wrestlemania arcade posters around or even a mention of those games I know from that the person isn't retro. . Retro was mainly the arcade it's as simple as that, you played arcade and hoped it would run one day on your crappy home console, that's not true as KZbinrs make it, back then we didn't care for graphics at all, it was all about winning etc gameplay nothing more nothing less. What ever consoles failed didn't fail in the sense of failed to the gamers but it failed to themselves etc losing money etc not our business and KZbinrs should bring that up as a fail for a console, it's simply the company lost money, that doesn't make a console crap. What would make a console crap and the games crap is if no one bothered to emulate old systems. However talking about systems on KZbin doesn't automatically mean one adores the systems or what they find out from wiki / a friend to be interesting at all, as long as KZbin money is involve they say whatever..

You said you can reflash the action replay with it's original firmware at anytime? Where do you get the Action Replay firmware for this? Also, once i flash my 4 in 1 cart to pseudo, does the ram cart function on it still work so i can play my legit capcom games on it? Thanks.

Yes, just boot the pseudo cd and its there in the menu, been a long time but i know its easy to follow

How do you save games after you flash the 4n1 card? Can you swap out the pseudo saturn cart with a regular action replay to save?

ezcompane you save to internal ram. you can transfer save with another action replay

Are the buttons oval or rounded? Round buttons is model 2 and wont work. Or you can have somebody hold the button down

@@diabo69 the cart port on saturn is super finnicky, just play with the cart and boot the console until it works and dont touch it after you get it to work!

you just need to make sure rhe white tab is pushed back.make sure piece of caedboard is thick enough, its the easiest part!!!
