70% of the 90's moments i remember are due to this guy's art.

I wish he had never sold Wildstorm to DC. These characters resonate more when they are not constantly confronted by the DC universe stuff.

Grifter was the most popular, but the best characters with potential to carry the book further were Zealot and Voodoo. Chris Claremont did a neat arc with Zealot and Alan Moore did a whole mini-series about Voodoo.

I wish we could have had a Gen 13 animated series And Stormwatch. I still wish we had a Wildstorm animated Universe today in 2024. Like James Gunn should make that happen

I often wonder how much Asian martial arts fiction influenced Jim. His heroes feel a bit different from those of both DC and Marvel esp. in the way that teams matter as much or more than individuals etc.

Brandon Choi AKA the luckiest man in comics. I didn't really notice until recently but his writing was no bueno. Rambling dialog while not saying a damn thing.

Well to be fair, back in the 90s the art sold first, story almost became an afterthought. So were things when Image first debuted

The comics made a big leap in writing quality when Jim hired real writers to write scripts for the book: Chris Claremont for 4 issues, James Robinson for 6 issues, then Alan Moore for a big 15 issue run.
