A demonstration of Sega's 1993 coin-operated vending machine "game", SegaSonic Popcorn Shop.
I've translated all the dialogue and text in this video and subtitled it in English.
SegaSonic Popcorn Shop (セガソニック ポップコーンショップ) is a novelty popcorn vending machine that included a Sonic-themed mini-game in order to attract customers.
After picking a flavor (butter, salt, or chili), you turn a handle to help Sonic escape from Dr. Eggman, and you turn it again to help cook the popcorn as Eggman tries to snatch bits of it.
I ran through the game twice. The first time shows what you'd see if everything worked as intended. The second time, I ignored the directions the experience finishes with an error screen that asks the customer to seek assistance. I got quite a laugh out of imagining that sequence playing as the cabinet belches smoke.
After translating the other Japanese-only Sonic coin-op machines, I figured I might as well do this one too. It's a fun little novelty.
