Christmas Greetings from the Local Police of Malaga. Christmas 2022-2023.
This year, from the Local Police of Malaga, we have chosen to congratulate the Christmas Holidays with the intention of drawing a smile on those people who want to accompany our picturesque protagonist "Santa Trepador" in his misadventures, a thief who carries out his misdeeds dressed as Santa Claus with the grotesque idea of impersonating the popular climbing Santa Claus doll.
After the trilogy of Christmas greetings that the Local Police of Malaga began at Christmas 2018-19, last year it was based on a nice parody of the popular American series Breaking Bad.
In this fifth Christmas short film, "Santa Climber" carries out a tortuous escape through different streets of Malaga, gaining notorious importance in the increasingly flourishing area of Soho, in addition to having the spectacular background of the lighting that the City has on these important dates, all with the focus on a false Santa Claus whose evil deeds have led him to lose his pants.
Specifically, his adventures take him through Ancha del Carmen, Cuarteles, Puente de la Misericordia, Alameda Principal, Casas de Campos, Tomas Heredia, Plaza de la Marina and Calle Marqués de Larios, where the lighting show accompanies an unexpected ending in the that local police officers in Malaga put an end to the peculiar persecution of our anti-hero.
Throughout the plot, the use of new technologies is sharply portrayed: mobile phones, social networks, metaverse..., which, although, among other advantages, allow us to evade or get closer to those who are far away, they also isolate us. largely from our closest environment, including our loved ones.
It is worth noting the nods to other municipal organizations such as Canal Málaga RTVM, EMT, Limasam or Málaga Film Office, whom we thank for not having hesitated at any time to join the project. Likewise, we are grateful for the collaboration of Teatro SOHO Caixabank and the photographer and tracker from Málaga, Bosco Martín.
Once again, the Audiovisual Group of the Malaga Local Police has been in charge of recording, producing and editing. Likewise, all the actors who play leading roles are local police officers from Malaga or their relatives, highlighting the work of José Antonio Montero "Nene" as "Santa Climber", as well as the interpretations of María Corpas as a TikToker girl, and the agent K9 Kira, a Malinois shepherd who together with her Guide Agent Daniel Padilla are part of the Canine Unit of the Support Operational Group (GOA) of the Local Police of Malaga, as well as the collaboration of the local police officer specialized in climbing F. Javier Martín.
As in previous years, recording in 4K digital cinema format has been chosen, with a mixture of anamorphic and spherical lenses. Likewise, the decalogue of good environmental practices in audiovisual production has been complied with in order to achieve a more sustainable production model.
