Well, I have noticed that a lot not all but a lot of breakdowns are because of maintenance that wasn’t done. Dealers and todays owners manuals do not tell you anything! This isn’t just Segway, but every brand out there. I’ve seen so many broken machines because people say “oh it’ll be fine”. We put these things under incredible stress, and A-1 maintenance is critical to not just going out to play on them, but getting home afterwards !

I have play on both rear wheels now. What do you say, should I take these original Chinese ones? Or maybe you know of some quality branded ones that are suitable? Like Koyo?

As always Scott, a great video. Was wondering how good the bearings on this thing was. Now I know 🤔

Apparently this is a common problem on most quads ( not Honda with a solid rear axle) but any and all brands with press in “sealed” (ya right) hubs. At least now we know what to do for maintenance in the off season or down time. What totally amazed me was even new bearings had almost no grease in them! No wonder they failed!

Also do you have the bearing part number/where to get one? When I lifted my bike to get at the exhaust easier I rested my hand on my tire and felt the wobble, so I check the other side and it's gone too...

Hello Where can we find bearing lubricant?

It would be nice to know the size of bearing. Do you know if they are 30mm x 63mm x 42mm ?
@scotthyatt4751 Жыл бұрын
I honestly don’t remember the size. I pulled an old one out and measured it with a micrometer. However I couldn’t find any manufacturer that made that size so ended up ordering from my dealer. 30 bucks Canadian each L1fe Outdoor, Newhamburg Ontario

Hello. I am servicing my snarler now. it got to the u-joint and I found only one lubrication point near the front diff. can't all other u-joints be oiled? I don't see grease fittings in them. Probably need to disassemble the entire drive axle. Still very interesting, how did you make the grease fitting in the front ball joint?
@scotthyatt47512 жыл бұрын
The ujoints(at least on mine both has grease fittings, but you need a grease needle to do them. The ball joints I drilled and tapped and put my own grease fitting in
@викторбондаренко-ъ3д2 жыл бұрын
@@scotthyatt4751 thank you for your reply. did you just drill a hole in the ball joint housing and cut the threads? but how to do it and not get into a hardened ball. and don't scratch it.

@@викторбондаренко-ъ3д you really have to know what your doing to do this. Can’t really describe it as there is a lot of touch and feel your way involved
