wow .. thanks for the shout out ! 😎 yeah...so i saw the video last night and immediately flashed back to the guys at grit shift , making the apology video about swapping the batteries in both bikes . i just thought you needed to know , (and also figured , SOMEBODY else would've said something ) but wow , i didn't think segway themselves ,would back the information . i'm glad everything worked out . and nobody's bikes were messed up .. in my efforts to get a new ebike such as a sur ron ... i WAS thinking about getting an x160 and getting a used x 260 battery ..for the same reasons and then i saw the grit shift video ... glad i could help :) dave

I believe the controller circuit will burn out if you hold the throttle for a long time or the motor will burn out.I heard swap the controller and the motor asap if you upgrade the battery.

Been riding my x160 with 60v surron battery for nearly a yr . I ride hard thrash style every day.ive got over 1000 mi . On 60v batt. No issues .

I'm in a similar situation. My local Honda House has a used x160 that they will sell me for $250, as is, no charger, no warranty. It doesn't run. They don't know for sure what's wrong. It's either the battery, controller, motor, a combination, or something else. IDK. They have no idea what the previous owner did to it. This is all new territory for me, so it'll be interesting to see if I can get it running to spec for the least amount of money. I just hope the battery isn't dead dead, which is the single most expensive item. Regardless, I need to find a proper charger. I'm willing to upgrade for performance, but I first want to get it running to OEM spec if possible.

This is why I never change the mechanics on my bikes, if I’m no longer happy with the bike, sell it and upgrade. It’s too much risk for a little more speed and range. Get to know your bike and either love it or get rid of it. These upgrades also cost a lot. So if it fails, it’s a bigger loss.

Agree completely on when you buy a bike you shouldn't have to mod it to its potential. For my next bike I ordered the Landmoto. Its pretty much an e-motorcycle but looks like my other bikes. Bandit and 73. Just throwing it out there for guys that dont like to mod motors and controllers. Myself included. keep up the videos.

So if you wanted to upgrade your X160 what do you think you'd do? I've been looking at the Chi Gladiator batteries and pairing a 60v (or a 72) with a BAC4000, but I can't figure out which motor to use. All I've really heard of is the KO one or ripping one out of a x260/surron/LB
