Thanks James :) I'm not entirely against the Golf R - they are pretty quick right? I just think they need a bit of work which of course you can do aftermarket as with most cars :D

Off topic but wondering if anyone has gone down from the 17" stock rim to a 16". Of so were you able to do so without changing the stock rotors n what have ya. Thanks

You can however I dont recommend it because it limits the Tyres you can buy, you can no longer get Michelin or Pirellis which are the best imo

Another great video and mod mate. I'm a little older than you so probable wouldn't do some of the mods you've done, but they look great anyway. Looking forward to your next video, maybe you could get hold of a Focus ST and put that through its paces as I think both car are great but I'm not sure which one to buy later this year!!

Hello, yes it was a bit lighter but not thaaaat much being that the stock wing is just plastic

Adam Rainey im thinking about getting that maxton lip extention, it comes in carbon, it's nice cuz it's just a lip not that wierd thing mountune sells, might look good as an alternative to the risers

Have you considered making your own risers? I think I saw a KZbin video of someone doing DIY risers...

yes...i'm using some kind of a rubber gasket or stopper that you use for your door...but it's realy difficult to put back the side screw.is it any way that i can Buy the wing riser that you use?

It is certainly lighter but maybe not by a huge amount as the stock wing is made of plastic

They were a bit expensive, a little under £155. I got them because boomba came up with the original design that everyone else copies for Fiesta risers. You can get the copies a good bit cheaper but I've heard of people having issues with them coming loose - over the few months I had them on they were 100% rock solid. Risers are very much a personal thing, I'm happy both ways. I did also worry a bit with the exposed holes in the wing when using risers - rain could potentially get in there I always worried

That's fair enough, there are plenty out there not so expensive. They don't do anything for straight line performance so are purely cosmetic

I got it from Seibon UK eBay shop. Certainly not bored of it - I don't think I could ever be bored of a big, beautiful piece of carbon!

why not just wrap the wing in an carbon fiber looking wrap? i mean.. not really weight saving.

have you done a weight comparison to know? Also there is no comparison between fake carbon and real carbon for styling

@@AdamRainey well it's an abs spoiler versus an carbon spoiler. The weight won't really matter I guess. My thinking was more for cost.

Weight wasn't a consideration for me at the time, it was all about ultimate styling. At the time it was a good couple of hundred pounds cheaper than they sell for now as well so if I were in the same position again now I would probably think twice
