Seicane H221 on Accord 2005 Dual Climate

Feedback about my install. My unit didnt have this issue. Cable swap was not needed. Everything works fine and I really like it compared to the original unit. Now I have gps with google maps and waze. Spotify and music player of my choice. Radio receiver improved alot. Everything works ok and ips screen is very good even in sunny days. Only issue that I noticed is that the climate temperature starts at 19C and not 16C as the original one. You got to have this in mind because the 19C actually are 16C. About bluetooth streaming quality, didnt really try it because having internal storage, usb and online streaming makes it unecessary. Been using it gor 2 weeks now and cant complain... it's very goos for the price. I know plastic quality is average but for this price (300€) couldnt ask for much more☺

Thank you Guido. I'll have to watch again. I'm missing have the stuff you're stepping through. What is the actual Symptom your having. My 9 inch Android 10 head unit's Rear Defroster doesn't work. Messaged the seller on eBay, and they said since they can't find a record of my purchase could I pay $39 for a new control unit. Oh heck no. This was a gift and I've shown them repeatly that It was bought from them. As far as i know the rear defroster and the mode not displaying so I know what mode I'm in, doesn't work. I have a 2004 Honda Accord LX single. If anyone else could say what Guido's actual issue is please chime in. Thank you to everyone including Guido.

Everyone here needs to get the XTRONS version of this unit, their software is far superior to this one. I am having some problems with dual air climate not working, but other than that everything is perfect

Same problem here. I have also sent an email to Seicane. I've also noticed a problem with the external temperature display -- it stopped working after I installed the head unit. In reviewing the Honda service manual, the troubleshooting steps indicate to verify a wire between the head unit and the gauge cluster... so I believe the new head unit is at fault.

Yeah I've noticed that too, when I get some time I will reinstall the OEM just to see if everything works as expected. I'm not sure what to do with the Seicane unit to be honest, I still want to believe it has something to do with the software version on this particular model. I'm tempted to try flashing it with a different ROM from XDA, but I don't know yet. Shipping it back to Seicane will cost me quite a bit. Just wanted to provide an update. Seicane emailed back and said to ensure that the connector was attached to the climate area and that the canbus setting was set to Accord 7. They also showed settings in a different app to set "accord dual climate". I've confirmed that my 4 pin connector is attached (the climate buttons light up when my lights are on). I've also tried both ACCORD_7 settings, there is no other setting to adjust/change to dual climate. I think that when selecting ACCORD_7, a separate apk is supposed to install (as I've seen with other canbus settings), but that isn't happening here? I've got my fingers crossed that a software update will resolve this. I'll keep you posted.

@@cee_tee exactly same experience here, I've also sent them this video to show them what is happening... The issue is that they are just resellers and don't have an engineering team to actually fix the software in any way. That's why I'm considering re-flashing with a ROM from XDA. But I'm not sure that will fix the AC controls on screen to be honest.

@@GuidoPopoli OK, I guess that's good to know so we don't duplicate efforts... Honestly I wouldn't recommend flashing a ROM as of now (this may cause more pain) -- all we need is the APK for the climate control. I'll review some ROM's on XDA and see if I can get just the APK from one.

I am having a problem with the actual climate control when I change where the A/c is supposed to blow it doesn't change and dual climate doesn't work as well as the defogger button

@JezzaSavusa yes so it ended up being that the wires were flipped for the small 3 wire plug connecting from the radio to the ac module I saw it in s forum somewhere. To fix it I think the two wires on the ends of that 3 wire plug need to be swapped then it should work

Crap! I just installed mine and have the same exact issue. I am in communication with Seicane now to try to resolve. I thought I was the only one. I also cannot get the backup camera to work. The trigger wire on the head unit does not work. My unit is the H221K with quad core.

Sorry, you will soon find out that they will just waste your time back and forth with endless emails. I paid with PayPal and will initiate a refund soon, unless they fix it (they said they are "preparing a new board for shipment", we'll see). To be honest I think the OS just doesn't not support the CAN BUS protocol, or something similar. I'm willing to downgrade to Android 7 to get the AC working, but when I asked they said they don't have any "upgrade". It's really sad, because otherwise it's a great radio and it's nearly perfect in every way (aside from the screen having a bunch of dead pixel you can clearly see in the bottom left, near the "Google Play Music") Good luck.

canbus set for control panel should be 120 or 123 honda accord 2, and small wires shoul be swapped as well

I went the route of returning the unit. Paypal has a 30 day window that was running out. I was not getting timely responses to my emails and I was running out of time with Paypal. I opened a dispute case with them. The unit really seems like a great piece, but with issues like this happening with others I don't think it is ready for prime time. Thank God for Paypal.

Why would it do that? That’s probably the worst comment I’ve seen about this head unit. To my understanding the xtrons radio they work fine but the cheaper ones for like $170 have problems with the ac as well.

@@Jaydogg209 I got it to work in the end by not connecting the wires that let me see the ac temperatures etc on the screen. I used it like this for a year. The ac worked but i couldnt see what temperature it was on so i had to just hold my hand infront of the vent and feel how hot or cold the air was.. I did sell the car in February though, bought myself an Audi s4 instead.

@@RCCaveStudios I don't have the car anymore so I don't remember but it was one of the ones that said Accord7 in them. My AC worked just with any of the options but it didn't display the info on screen so I had to go by feel. I think your problem is not the canbus type but the connectors behind the unit if it worked with the Honda OEM unit just fine.

Kevin Kendrick it works but glitches out and the AC controls don’t pop up on screen. If I was you I would get the xtrons brand one. It probably has less issues and word well. If I could I would return mine. N I only got it for 150$

No solution, looks like the internal temperature sensor doesn't work either. So if you set the temperature to warm it keeps blowing warm air. I didn't have time to reinstall the original, but unless they ship me a new AC board in January I'm sending it back.

Installed mine last night. At first, the controls worked. I could see the adjustments I was making with the knobs. I get into it this morning. They stopped working. What the hell? And I can't get into my factory setting with the 126 password. Anyone else know any other password for Seicane stereos?

And just like you, it worked last night when I installed it, but then this morning when I start the car up... nothing. All the buttons still work, but no visuals. @@steadybacon1606 I think this is what I did. But I'm NOT sure but try this. Go to the factory settings password 126. Then when you are on that page, go to the Canbus row tap that. You'll see a little drop down tiny triangle and press it to get a scrollable selector. Find "123 Accord_7_2_ (ChangYuanTong)". That, I believe did it for me. There are a couple of different Accord canbusses. Lemme know if that was it. Good Luck

Hi! I just ordered the same device from aliexpress. Is your accord petrol or diesel. I have the diesel version (2006 ICTDI) and I'm affraid that the AC will have problem like no cold air. Did you noticed any issues with the AC? I've herad some people talking about damaged compressors with similar devices but different models... Beside the problem of the climate info not showing on the display, have tu noticed any problems? Thank you!

My car is petrol/regular gas. I don't have issues with the AC itself, so far, only the temperature doesn't show and I have to guess the temperature I want after the car is warm enough (it's 2 celsius here right now). I've tried cold air in the garage and it works just fine.

If i may ask. I see your head unit is has dual climate controls like mine. When i received my head unit it came with a short harness cable labeled W H219. I is like a cable splitter/merger. The connector coloring is green. They appeared to match the pair of connector receptacles on the bottom of the new head unit. Did you get one with yours? My only guess is I would use this cable if I had single (not dual) climate controls. Do you know anything about it? BTW- The installations instructions are pretty much useless.

Yes, I think the split harness is for single climate, I did try after I've noticed the controls were not showing and the radio didn't even power up with that harness. I've tried several CAN BUS codes too. No luck.

@@Growla I've ordered directly from their website, the controls never shown on the screen, I'm not even sure where the problem is to be honest, but Seicane just kept going back and forth and never really solved anything. They said they are preparing a new board for shipment. I'm giving them until January and then I'll start the refund process with PayPal.

Have not offered any type of solution at all. In fact the only responses I have gotten concerning this issue have been automated. If get any information i will post back.

@@GuidoPopoli Just in case it is a factor. My radio faceplate # is 7BK2. It has a white connector on back that the new head unit has nothing for. Can you tell me the faceplate number of your OEM Honda radio? The number is located on the at the bottom right of the LCD screen.
