Actually, Haru just really wants to swim free. Maybe because he doesn't want to think about anything to make him sad and depressed. So he just wants to be free. But, people around him as if blames him for everything. And it's taking it's toll on him. He felt pressured so there he broke down. Plus also people saying that he is a genius puts pressure on him more. It's hard for a person when you question them why just swim free when you're a genius. It's not like he wants to be. So it is nice that Makoto is there for him to support him as his friend. Then at the same time it's quite sad because Makoto kinda pampered Haru in a way..that Haru is just okay with the way he was. So that's where Makoto asked Rin to help Haru to know his dream to be. I might just wanna add that, when Haru felt so pressured with everyone and finally found out that Makoto already decided on what to do. He got shocked because he thought that they will always be together as Makoto always do following Haru around. Or maybe the fact that Makoto already decided his future without telling Haru first. For me as a friend I'll feel little betrayed when that happened. So I kinda get Haru's feeling then. It's hard to feel left out with someone close to you. Anyway, this is so long haha. I. Am crying. This hurts. So bad. This is the first AMV I've seen in the Free! fandom. And you did not disappoint. In fact, it's still the only one I've seen. Maybe I can't move on because this one's too perfect. The song...is SO perfect for this situation. And this is my favorite storyline of season two, maybe even the whole show, since it's so relatable to my current situation and it involves serious angst to my favorite character. You just did all the canon feels so much justice. Thank you for this beautiful, heartbreaking tribute.
