Bought both, sent blue back then also sent the black one back…… they’re nice, but chunky. I’ll re buy the black at min 20% deposit or more Likely see what the micro brands come up with….. sapphire crystals, ceramic bezels etc

I don't get the buzz around this at the moment. £400 vs a very similar looking srpd for about £170. You have to love the GMT complication to get one at RRP.

There was no mechanical GMT watch in this price bracket before this, if you do not consider Chinese movements with questionable reliability. The buzz is understandable.

@@andrea81 I think you are right about the movement, hopefully there will be some more interesting watches using it. There are some nice GMT not far off £400, I have a steinhart ocean one with sw330 that cost £470.

What is the difference between Seiko SSK001 and SSK001K1? Are they both legitimate Seiko watches?

Yes, it's the same watch :-). This model was just released so I highly doubt that there are fakes around already!

Im not 100%, but i think when the number ends in K1 the watch is made in Korea. I have a watch the ends with J1 these are the made in Japan models (usually the most sought after) No letter at the end may mean made in Singapore???

Right because you really need to be able to tell what time it is in Singapore when diving… That criticism was valid for the SRPDs which looked like dive watches but a GMT isn’t meant to be used as a dive watch
