That’s saltwater . That’s been a working watch . Thank you so much for stripping the 7010. Not everyone would attempt it . Flawless;)

One of my favourite things to do when I get a vintage watch in the post is removing the years of gunk from the case/bezel/bracelet and all the hidden places then cleaning them in my ultrasonic cleaner which is one of my better investments. it is so satisfying and oddly great to watch. so cheers Spencer. by the way a very nice looking watch

Cake, now there's a band I haven't thought about in a long time! We used to have this awesome Alternative Rock station out of Detroit/Windsor that would play Cake regularly. It's a country station now. . . . man I miss that station! Edit: The music video for Love You Madly is amazing!

I use Naphtha to clean watches and guitars. It's a gentle solvent and it evaporates almost immediately.

Does the rust in the springbar come from the spring itself? Such an awesome watch!!

Those original spring bars with no shoulders are so hard to remove. Gotta have a sharp sharp screwdriver.

I still use them; they do take a trick or two.

Mosasaur tooth! It still has the porous bone structure visible at the base, very neat.

this is the stupidest sealing case system on a diver watch. Absolutely unnecessary stress on all those front rubber seals, which makes it impossible to get that movement out without damaging the gaskets and dial. Casio recently launched a similiar system but it uses 4 screws.

Uh, I got the movement out with damaging the gaskets or the dial. As for the rest, I'd imagine Seiko's engineers designed it to be this way. It works as intended. I know guys who dive with these.
