Well as far as I know hairspring is made of Spron 510 and the whole movement has antimagnetic properities of 4,800 A/m (60 gauss) level which I think is rougly the same as ETA-2824-2 which is minimum to label as antimagnetic watch. It's not as much as Sinn but for the price I would not expect to exceed eta-2824-2 specs and it's quite fine actually?

I truly like it . I was thinking of getting the sinn 556i but it cost $1000 more. This watch will go so well with my Sarb035.

I know that voice! (I was shopping for a microphone earlier this year, wound up getting the Shure MV7.) Great (sounding) review of a fine watch, just happened to look at it in person at a store in Tokyo today and went online to learn more about it. Your hands-on perspective of the pros and cons is a huge plus. Hadn't realized the importance of antimagnetic performance. Many thanks!

I took a chance on the green one (SPB155) and am glad I did. What I like most of all is it's not boring, always a joy to look at. The hands, dial texture, orientation of the numerals, magnification factor of the crystal, even the case thickness, all add up to something that's visually interesting even after you've been wearing it a while. I have "better" watches that simply don't excite me like my baby Alpinist. On the accuracy, if I lay mine on a table it's not great. Like +13/day. But the movement is very sensitive to orientation. It'll run slow on its side. On-wrist it averages +5 per day. Not bad. The big problems I had with the SARB017, and why I never got one, are: 1) the ugly and pointless inner rotating bezel (good grief); and 2) I like a bracelet (and the one on the SPB155 is exceptional for the price). Anyway, great review.

These reviews are NEVER a waste of time but a belt made of watches could be called that.

I am close to wanting one of these but aesthetically I want dark gray or black vertically brushed dial, solid slimmer case back to reduce chunkiness, finely brushed bezel, (too shiny overall) and drilled lugs. I do not like pebble finish dials, they look cheap AF to me. The lume color difference between the hands and dial printing is somewhat bothersome as well. Otherwise, from a distance these look pretty great.

Did you put the strap on backward or did it come like that. Just curious.

I just received mine. Yes, Shikoku ships them with the strap on backward.

So clean and good looking. And I have much more expensive watches.

The only thing stopping me from choosing this over the cheaper srpg27k1 is the mismatched colors of the hands and the dial.
@cMaslow3 жыл бұрын
What’s mismatched about the colours
@ikiboisart3 жыл бұрын
The hands are white and the print on the dial is off-white or yellowish. It doesn't match.

Nice watch! How can u know the watch isn't anti-magnetic? AFAIK, it has 4,800 A/m MR.
@Watchcastage3 жыл бұрын
I believe that’s the correct figure, which is equivalent to 60 Gauss.. I’ve had multiple Seiko’s with the 6R35 get magnetized through daily use of micing guitar cabs, and typing near laptop speakers.
@acefire64223 жыл бұрын
The hands look like they are for the wrong watch. Massive aesthetic faux pa from Seiko, having hands that don’t match the indices/arabics. I’d be interested if Seiko sorted that lot, meanwhile I’ll stick with my Sarb035. Cheers for the review.

I’ve got a SARB035 too. What a great watch! The only thing I didn’t like was the lack of micro-adjustments on the Seiko bracelet. I put it on a Strapcode “O” bracelet & it fits me very well now.

White hands and yellow numbers… so bad… no option of brazalet on this version.
@martinrea85483 жыл бұрын
I just think it's too thick. I like the blue version's looks but I don't think I'll be buying one. At these prices you'd be as well off saving a little bit longer and getting a Grand Seiko.
@gzygouris3 жыл бұрын
I’m not a fan of this one. Some of Seiko’s dials lately aren’t doing it for me. Also, the aesthetic of the white in the hands with the off white numerals and markers would drive me insane. Oh and on top of that a solid black date wheel. If that’s yours you are keeping in not trying to be insulting.

Watch would be great at about 400 USD not even close to worth 700 .
@Watchcastage3 жыл бұрын
Yeah the Sarb017 was aruond the $400USD price, and I'm not sure that the improvement to the power reserve from the 6R15 to 6R35 justifies the price jump. At $400-$500 it'd be great.
@davidcoleman27962 жыл бұрын
Yes but watches have really gone up . I got my sarb035 new for $500 . Now I can sell it for $800 used.

@@davidcoleman2796 yea sadly its a sign of the times we live in ,people are hoarding anything and everything they believe will go up in value . I have never seen anything like it . Cars, boats ,campers and motorcycles and anything that they deem collectable like jewelry or watches .
