I‘d like to change the case on a seiko cocktail watch Can you recommend something? What do I need to look out for?

Thanks for your comment. I wouldn’t really recommend modding a genuine SEIKO watch. One issue with Chinese cases for SEIKO mods is that they often require a dial size of 28.5mm, limiting the variety of cases available. This is especially true for divers' watches, where there are many cases available, but for watches like the SEIKO Presage with larger dials, there are hardly any aftermarket cases that surpass the originals. Sorry I can’t offer any suggestions.

How do i know what is the size of my current seiko watch dial?

Thank you for your comment. The most accurate way to measure the size of the dial is to remove it from the watch case and measure it, but for a diver's watch with an NH35 movement, it's likely to be around 28.5mm. If the chapter ring is integrated, it may be slightly larger. On the other hand, dials for pilot watches and similar styles are often made to be 30mm or larger.

Thanks for your comment. I don’t really do any maintenance on my mod watches. I often open them up, close them, and change the hands, so the accuracy isn't great. For now, I recommend assembling with the NH38. If you have any other questions, feel free to comment again.
