Seiko makes so many awesome variants. We should call these watches rabbits not turtles. On a serious note, the orange dial with blue & orange bezel with the blue strap, widescreen cyclops, and applied markers set this one apart. The watch box looks really nice as well.

Just wondering if those are imperfections on the dial and only just a couple, or spread on other parts of the dial as well? The rest of the video shows great dial.

I'm curious why they didn't run the alternate color marking (orange in this case) to the 20 minute mark of the bezel per usual for the turtle, instead going to the 15 minute mark.

Amazing watch! Orange Seikos tend to fall out of favor with me as I have sold both of the orange Monsters I owned but the bezel on this one really sets off the orange dial. This one is not only limited but I think a special edition too with the nice packaging that comes with it.

Is there lume on the second hand counterbalance but not on the second hand itself? I'd think that would make it tougher to read the seconds under low light (not that that's a huge issue, but seems an unusual design choice). Keep up the great reviews Bruce!

Yes, its a common occurrence on Seikos. They care more for showing you the movement is running than displaying the correct second while in low light

Lume on the seconds hand would probably also show if the movement isn’t working due to water damage when diving but perhaps it’s not wide enough compared to the full circle on the counterbalance. There doesn’t appear too much buzz about this release on watch resources,but I’m currently in Japan and found a blacked out ninja turtle with two tone accents! Very cool looking piece... based on the lack of exposure it has gotten, it must be a special edition of the sort.

Nice. What took them so long to make this?! I imagine Random Rob will REALLY want to get this since I think he's a self-proclaimed fan of orange, especially on divers, I believe. I think it works well with the complimentary blue colors in the bezel and the strap. You know this will get sold out FAST! The orange just looks so right with the Turtle. I admittedly am not a huge orange fan, but I can definitely see the appeal. Probably one of my favorite limited edition Turtles next to the Zimbwe (grey with orange accents).

If the limit on the edition is in the hundreds maybe a grand on the used market like Ebay, but in the thousands, then there is no way this watch will go over a thousand in value anytime soon, if ever. Seiko will release more of the got to have it watches sporting 50.00 dollar movements next year with some applied color scheme that addicts will deem to be life changing. I will wait for the next real Seiko grail, the one that has an 8r movement and something intangible added to give it a mystique, not a watch I have to force myself and others to believe is special. Watches should be an investment, not a place to throw money away. That's what ski boats are for. Your passion is appealing and intriguing, but that same passion usually ends up costing money on a resale.
