Congrats again, beautiful Seiko , and I like the choice of the quality brown leather strap you have put on on it (I think also you need to see this watch in real life to appreciate the lovely touch of the blue hands , as most of the time they looked silver in the video) gr8 review as usual 👍

Cheers Steve and spot on! Yes the watch has to be seen in the flesh...as I said in the unboxing video..when I saw it online for the first time I really didn't like it but when I saw it in the shop window I was sold... it just looks sooo luxurious...while it really isn't at all haute horology of course. For me the date subdial really let's it shine. The seconds, date and power reserve are blue...but even in sunlight you'd have to know...they are very dark. Thanks for the thumbs up mate.

Was into diver's watch and almost bought SKX or mini turtle but my friend bought this watch and convinced me to buy presage instead. Best decision in my life.

I never appreciated the SKX...I'd rathe have a Orient MAKO... The Presage is perfect.

Just ordered this this watch myself, I can’t wait for it to arrive. I think it’s pronounced in the way you pronounced it the first by the way. Great video!

It is a wonderful watch, have you received it by now? How is the watch for you?
@axela92826 жыл бұрын
Guido Pelagos It definitely is a wonderful watch. It’s slightly thick though and difficult to fit under clothes sometimes, but I’m very satisfied with it. I also bought another leather strap right away, a light brown strap looks really good on it.

Hey... amazing video. One question though. You hand winded the watch, do you have to wind it every 40 hrs or the watch charges with the movement of your hand?
@ManuB35815 жыл бұрын
Yash Mahajan If you wear it regularly then may not need to wind , if you keep it stored for a while (depending on its charge duration) you will have to wind . You dont have to keep winding all the time lol .

Beautiful watch, I have it's brother the SSA363J1, the Sakura Fubuki. Same everything apart from burgundy tip to the power meter hand, date hand and strap stitching, ivory coloured sakura flower design dial and alligator effect leather strap.

I changed the strap the moment I got it because that was just a joke. The watch however is awesome..classy but playfull. Sounds your watch has a very special touch!

With the power reserve on the dial Seiko should have made it a manual wind only with a solid decorated case back. That way your forced to interact more with the watch and the cost savings of not have a see through back could have been put into a sapphire crystal for the front.
@GuideauxPelagos3 жыл бұрын
Yeah but it also is a little bit a watch for the masses...and they want display cases and size.

Well first of all, it’s not a “psycho” it’s a Seiko; pronounced “say-co”.
@GuideauxPelagos3 жыл бұрын
I have shown before the best pronounciation is the Japanese one and psycho is closer to it than sayco... the english language is just weird when it comes to foreign words pronounciation. ;-)

Is that strap after market or original?

I wonder how much it costs a manufacture to make a watch with a standard screw down crown? Because I prefer it and would pay the extra just for a little piece of mind of water not getting in. Nice looking watch btw.
@GuideauxPelagos6 жыл бұрын
True...however for a dress watch it is not that needed...I wouldn't have mind it btw. I even gave up my demands for a sapphire crystal! ;-)

Hi my friend, hope I find you well. Very nice watch but then again I am a big fan of Seiko. The pronunciation.... I would say PRESS- ARGE & not PREE- SARGE, as a native English speaker I can confirm there are no set rules in our language as we make the rules (I mean just look at what we do in words with the letters OUGH in them). I problem I have with Seiko (higher ranges) is justifying the cist as the 'basic' models are so good, it's hard for me to justify spending on something like a Courtura for instance never mind a Grand Seiko. Wear that piece in good health.

Stuart! So glad you 're still around watching us. That pronounciation...haha yes, it was just something I was wondering about.. I agree with some English things are hard at first like "phoebe" and the way French words are spoken like "Buffet"car... in Dutch everything is able to bring back to grammar...there are no loose ends...hence the reason why it is such a drag to learn it. Some of the Dutch grammar rules are quite far fetched..still they seem to work somehow to create 1 correct spelling. Have a look if you find a Cocktail in the shop window somewhere...they are really gorgeous in the flesh! I am way passed the "seiko-scare"... I love the way GS makes their products and how value it actually is for the money...I couldn't care less what the Swiss would say. Then again..I've always been a rebel. Cheers mate!
@Verde886 жыл бұрын
But why should you pronouce it the English way if Presage is a common French noun???
@GuideauxPelagos6 жыл бұрын
Aha so I finally got the answer I needed...my French is absolutely horrible.
@michael_jacobsen4 жыл бұрын
It's NOT a homage, you're misusing that word. How could a brand be imitating itself? It's a continuation / redevelopment of the 2010 model
@GuideauxPelagos4 жыл бұрын
Yes, that is a better word indeed. Cheers.

Its Saycho...not Psycho...IMHO. Great Fart ...IMHO. Excellent Review Thanks
@GuideauxPelagos6 жыл бұрын
Haha thanks! Ask a Japanese person and the answer is somewhere in the middle: SEI is pronounced PSCHY (not like English speakers make it into SAY) and the KO is more a Koh.
