I've bought over a half dozen Prospex watches since 2020 and sold all of them because the accuracy was not good. Recently bought an Alpinist GMT and the new Diver GMT with the 6R54 and they are both running spot on! Love the new movement.

They need a screw down crown for the inner compass bezel. Owned a SARB017, the slightest contact with that crown on the wrist causes the bezel to rotate. My OCD could not take it and sold the watch. Chris when you say the 24hr number markers on the outer fixed bezel is printed, are they just printed directly on the bezel or are the number recesseed and paint is filled? If its just painted on the bezel, any dings will remove the paint and is a cheap solution.

I see, but you can imagine in a real situation if you every time use a screwdown crown to check your position, or you wear a glove nahh…it’s tottaly practical in that way. And the 24hr numbers it’s filled with paint, not just printed. A bought mine today, you need to se in real life, and compare whit the sarb017 or spb121, there is a quality difference…

Just a bit too chunky on the wrist at ~ 13.7mm. Would gladly give up the exhibition case back for a thinner fit.

It is a very beautiful watch looking at it face on. The only doubt I have is about the thickness 13.5mm is quite big.

is there anyway you can do a better job of shooting these watches lol , the straight down 12 to 6 POv does not give a good view of the watch , when in normal life do you look at your wrist and your on top of your own wrist looking down 12 to 6 ??? along with the lighting its just reflections galore .

The best Rolex explorer style watch is a Rolex explorer 2 GMT in white. If you can afford it and you want mechanical. Quartz is more reliable so would be better for a field watch. Actually just get a gshock

I don't hate seiko but I do hate blind gullible seiko fanboys who lap up the modern overpriced crap they dish out just because of the name. I love old Seikos when they were actually good quality and value for money but that was a long, long time ago. As for superior brands there are loads, many with far more history & heritage, but I will just mention a few with far superior pieces at the price. Longines Hamilton Tissot Sinn Damasko Christopher Ward Hanhart Laco.... I could go on but I know that such a gullible little Seiko fanboy won't agree. Have a fantastic day overpaying for 💩.
