The numbers on the back aren't a conversion scale. If you play close attention, you will see dot punched over the year the battery will be due for replacement. In this particular example, a dot is punched over top the 23, indicating the year 2023. The factory will then punch the next projected year of replacement once its serviced. This is done so that when a commercial dive company issues a watch to a diver, they have an idea as too how long its been in use between servicing. Arguably the greatest purpose built commercial grade diver ever produced!

It is actually two languages, always English and a secondary language. Coloured days are for Saturday and Sunday. Note that this is the same on many other day date Seikos like the SKX and Turtle.

The day wheel on this reference comes in (at least) three variations: English/Kanji, English/Spanish, & English/Roman Numerals. I got mine from a Seiko boutique in SE Asia and it comes with the English/Roman Numerals day wheel.

A great nugget of info about the color. I've liked Ohlins forks on Ducatis (and others) for years...It's cool that this Tuna uses the same coating.

The day wheel clearly only has two languages, Tim. Mar(Spanish for Tuesday), Tue(Tuesday), Mie(Spanish for Wednesday), Wed(Wednesday), Jue(Spanish for Thursday), Thu(Thursday) etc. Just two languages, like all Day-Date Seikos.

Tim, what is that monstrosity on your wrist? In my opinion that is one of the ugliest looking watches, I've ever seen. I am not sure how much crack the design department at Seiko has been smoking but it would seem maybe it took them at least 13 rocks to get to this conclusion.
