I have this watch and a great change up is to get a thick chunky leather strap with white stitching, looks and feels great.

funny how we've pretty much gotten used to the turtle 'candybar' date magnifier so many folks hated when they were new

Owned the original blue dial Padi Turtle you mentioned...more iconic as you say. I go back aways with your channel and remember you modding the SKX chassis with Turtle internals and I understood having owned both SKX and Turtles...I too prefer the SKX which of course was more iconic in the annals of watch horology compared to the bulkier turtle. I have a slightly leaner wrist than you Rob and honestly, the Turtle is just too bulky for my taste. I have tried and owned a couple at different points in my watch collecting. To me, the SKX is not only more aesthetically pleasing although close to a jump ball, but the SKX sits better on my slightly smaller wrist. I prefer the Willard or slim Turtle. I do believe the full sized Turtle looks cool. I in fact own a Seiko Tuna 300m which I believe even with high-ish center of gravity, sits better on the wrist than the watch in your video. In fact, my Tuna if picking a favorite dive watch, is my favorite. If I had a 7.5" wrist, I may feel different but I don't. Happy New Year.

If an item has been briefly used with labels (tags) still attached I'd categorise it as New With Tags. Would still count as a used item and priced accordingly. Happy New Year from Ireland.

“Misaligned chapter ring so you know it’s a genuine Seiko”, brilliant!!

I have the SRPE93J1. I love it. Its my first Turtle. One thing I do not like is the metal keeper on the silicone band. Its stylish, yeah, but its already horribly scratched up after only a week of wear. Looking for a new silicone band that has a silicone/rubber keeper and isn't $75.00. 😂

I picked this watch up last summer, half price at a department store sale. Typically I'll wear it on an Uncle Seiko Razor Wire bracelet.

Hi Rob Great video!! I had this seiko and I was so disappointed of the lumibright The lume was so poor I didnt recognize Seiko (in comparison for example with turtle pepsi SRPE99K1 which has a perfect lume all the night) Please can you tell me Which Seiko King Turtle with ceramic bezel and saphir has very good Lumibrite like before and not the bad lume like last king turtle? Thanks a lot!

I like that… It not lining up proves it’s an authentic Seiko, fake Seiko line up 😂😂

QC once again. Look at the watch in link below, and realize that the candy-bar cyclops is way off. Seiko what are you doing?

Rob do you think it might be worth doing a size and lume comparison with every watch review to the skx again? It really helps
