Seiko Sea Urchin SNZF17K1 - Customisation & Bezel Removal

This video we take a look at changes made to my personal beater watch the Seiko Sea Urchin. The second part of the video looks at how to remove the bezel for cleaning or insert replacement purposes.
Changing the front glass you will need - 31mm Diameter / Thickness 1.50-2.60mm ( ideally above 2.00 ) , Either Domed or Flat Mineral/Sapphire Glass.
Changing the rear glass you will need - 27mm Diameter - Thickness 1.30-1.50mm Mineral or Sapphire Glass
Acquire a cheap multipurpose glass press from Amazon - amzn.to/3yUh93k
Movement Replacement - Original 7S36 Seiko
Hattori NH36/NH36A Hacking ,Manual Wind - amzn.to/37NFJXQ

Thanks for the video, it was very informative. I used Kapton tape, which looks to be very similar to what you are using, to protect the case from scratches and it worked perfectly. For those who don't know, Kapton tape is used primarily in the electronics industry as it doesn't leave adhesive residue behind when removed and can be lifted and re-seated several times without fear of it losing its adhesive properties. It's also tear resistant. You'll often find it used to cover surface mount connectors on motherboards to prevent them from disconnecting or to keep cables flush against the board.

Hi, enjoy your videos wish you would make more. I have this watch and would like to make the same upgrade. Just wondering what is the difference between NH36 and NH36A movement? Also what stem and crown did you use to replace the original? Would be nice if u made a video on swapping the movement. Thanks for any advice.

Yes the movement did require a new and different stem & crown to be fitted. 🖒

It doesn't look so good with the white calendar though does it? Beware if you opt for same movement change

Yes the white disc is a little different but i found it easier to read at a glance, however a good watchmaker or modder can swap the day/date discs over from original movement if you wanted to keep them black :)
