Just purchased mine, had exactly the same thought process, wanted to have something tough and solar powered, but just don't like how gshoks look with non sports clothes. (however still tempted to get classic square because of amazing value and functions) This is on the other hand, looks so much more versatile to me, with that tuna DNA. Plus Arnold really wore it on and off screen!

1 month wearing this watch has been my everyday work watch. Very comfortable to wear and super impressed. No regrets. Some Seiko followers worried about the Made In China... I can only say the manufacturing supervision must be great. Quality for price is excellent. Great watch. Worth an add to the collection.

Got the classic basic black, just like the original. I'd suggest keeping that sticker on the case back to avoid scratches. Learned that lesson the hard way. For some reason, even a fresh microfiber cloth put micro-scratches on it.

I just got one of these exact Arnie’s a couple months ago and I absolutely love it!! I thought it would be to big but it’s actually one of if not my most comfortable watch!! Awesome review!! 👌👊

Yes, this watch wears perfectly on my 6.5" wrist too. Bec it has a black shroud, it looks smaller than my sbbn039 MM300 though they are the same size. Bro, have you reviewed the Flighty? This one is another Diminishing watch. A collector's item.

got the white-black one yesterday … now its very reasonably priced here in Singapore.. cost me about SGD 481.. did not realise the Pepsi one got 2 - colour lume.. that looks very cool.. but the original SNJ025P1 is really the original deal… been wearing it for last about 24 hrs. Looks amazing.. i got about 7.5” wrist… do NOT miss my Casio GShock GBD200 .. or my series 6 apple watch…

Got mine a couple weeks ago under 300 . Hell of a watch a lot of sporty machismo! Hasn’t left my wrist. Imo kills anything gshock or the like .

Still a great review FT. This Padi version's been on my radar very recently and always thought it would be too big for my 6.5" wrist but love your reviews as we have same wrist size so always helpful to hear your opinion..I was really considering it as I have no Quartz in my collection and the Arnie/RodgerMoore connection makes it even more desirable. One Q..the sec hand didn't seem to line up from 3 to 6 indices...maybe it was the camera angle but I checked at different points in the vid...I think that could bug my OCD😁

I think its rare for a quartz to always hit unless your getting the GS quartz or Casio servo auto correct on high end g-shocks. but then the $$$ increases for those of course.

I'm so tempted to buy an Arnie. I don't like the PADI version so much (love the PADI Turtle!), but there are other good options in the line. Also of note is it was worn by Roger Moore AKA James Bond in "A View to a Kill." Double cool!

I should have also mentioned, the shroud screws are 1.6mm. A 1.5 will round them out. Since these were made in China, they use these odd size screws and install them with a thread locker. I had to order a special allen key for it...and these seem to only be available from China.

I had this watch twice. Seiko USA replaced my first one because the push button seals came apart. The 2nd watch they sent the push button seals came apart again. I sent it back for warranty they said it's not the seals it's the paint. What???!!! Yeah never again back and forth phone calls and no result. That all happened under a year of ownership of non hard use.

Yeah the old one is 150m, runs on a battery and the backlight on the digital screen is a terrible flickering bulb. The re-edition is much better than the original.

You can’t tell how much suit is in your tank by looking at a watch , you have a gauge that connects to your air tank that you keep track of how much air you have left… just a bit of info for future vids!

Fella, you simply just can't have Sapphire on a dive watch. All you watch reviewers go on about Sapphire. STOP IT NOW.....lol. I'm a diver, who still uses my watch for my bottom time. Now.....understand, that Sapphire is weaker that mineral/hardlex. On a dress watch....yes, let's have fancy scratch resistant Sapphire. On a dive watch, NO. Check into this. I think you're a great watch reviewer, but when you review a divers watch, know this.....hardlex good.....Sapphire.....bad. its weak and will crack, and/or just shatter under pressure.

Actually, I have a friend who works at Seiko and they stated they can make sapphire just as strong as their hardlex. They just need to make it THICKER. That is all. This is why they put sapphire in their pro divers ISO PADI Turtle and Samurai and higher end SLA043 for example.

@@EscapementWatch thanks for your reply. All you've done though, is make my point for me. Why would you want thicker, and heavier? I mean, who really cares about a scratch on a hardlex? Nobody. I know that the seiko King range have started using big bulky Sapphire crystals. Its just all wrong buddy.

@@EscapementWatch i just finished a mod on a seiko 5 sport. I used a sapphire crystal. It looks amazing, it really does. Can't stop looking at it. But I ain't taking that into a cave or a wreck and pushing any boundaries with that. Seiko have been making the very best dive watches for 60 years. Why do you think they NEVER used cheap ass Sapphire? Think about that.
