I have an srpd since a year ago.i was in the desert at 50 °c,all cellphones stopped working but the seiko kept the challenge.tough indeed.i love it

I have an identical watch which has the same issue with the lug, which makes me think they are all the same. I would not have noticed it, if you had not pointed it out. I love the dial colour, I was able to pick it up on sale at an authorized dealer for A$ 375, very recently. That’s Australian dollars. I also have an SKX 013, which I have had for a few years and I love it. It is important that my watches have a day/ date. You will understand why when you are retired.

Got the exact same watch and my case or bezel have no issues, the lume is amazing i have a Nato and crazy horse leather bands for mine. The green for me is the best thing as i love green watches. The only negative is mine runs slightly slow.

Good to know! And yeah that sounds like there's a bit of a quality control issue going on, because I wouldn't normally expect to have any imperfections like I had here. Hopefully they straighten that out.

@@sagarbhansali1 Mine loses -20 per day, I have the same watch in the video too, also no problems with the lugs but the calendar thing is a bit tilted left indeed. Seiko says that the accuracy for the 4R36 caliber is between +45 / -35 seconds per day, so I'm good.

I recently returned a cocktail time mojito cause after about a few weeks of use the second hand stopped working. It seemed as if it were getting jammed on something. Possibly something went wrong with the inner movement. I was pretty bummed as it was a beautiful watch. I have this seiko 5 on order in its place. I just want to check off a seiko in my collection. Idc about the dive rating as I’m never going to enter the ocean with any of my watches lol

That's sad to hear, especially being that the Cocktail Time is part of the Presage line, so I'd expect even better QC there. Let's hope that Seiko isn't slipping.

I really like these watches and have 3, but I must say the QC is not great, all three of mine have very different bezel resistance. My green one the bezel is very stiff, my black one is near perfect and my all black dlc one has a very loose bezel and the bezel clicker makes a different sound than the other two. Great watches but the quality control and consistency is not great.

Confused between this watch and orient kamasu which one you want to suggest

I have both. My Seiko is my watch for causal wear, out and about, or when I want a dressy watch that has a bit more sport fun to it. The orient tends to be something I wear when I dress up a bit more, maybe golf attire or a nice night on the town. If I'm swimming in salt water, the orient is my absolute go to

In my experience Seiko quality is becoming poorer and poorer and the prices upper and upper since they launch this types of watches that looks like a divers but they aren’t. What do you think? Regards and excellent review

Thank you! And thanks for the comment. In my opinion, Seiko is still putting out solid quality. I honestly think that I just got one fluke defective case. As for watches that "look like divers," the only real thing this is missing in terms of the basic "dive watch check list" is a screw-down crown. It's definitely good enough to swim with, and anybody who does real diving isn't going to be looking at the cheapest line of Seiko watches to time their dive lol. Everybody uses these as "desk divers" (aka they buy dive-style watches but never even get them wet), and for that they're very nice. So I guess long story short: nice watch? I think so. Proper dive watch? No. But I didn't expect it to be for the price.

@@ShouldITimeThis totally agree. But you aren’t the only one who has a defective unit. I know at least 10 people recently have one defective. And I personally returned a $1100 Presage because the ring with minute marks was misaligned. Others channels with the same history, defective units.

I bought Seiko 5 SRPD63K1, then i returned it after 5 days because of delaying the time more than 4 hours everyday day. i tried manual winding and didn’t help. now i hated all Automatic watches because of Seiko.
