This is a good one! It was my first automatic watch! I love it! Interesting to hear that Seiko is not making this model anymore! I’m sure if you wanted to sell yours someone would pick it up pretty quickly! Maybe if you hold on to it longer it will appreciate even more! 😁

The Doxa Sub 200 is a reissue of their own model from the 60's

Absolutely correct, I completely agree. Most watch brands have jumped on the vintage reissue trend from 3-4 years ago. My thoughts for this video were that Doxa, along with other brands have taken some (sensible) executive decisions on what style models to re-release from their back catalogue based on what other successful vintage reissue releases are out at the time. I could be completely incorrect, but it seems interesting that the release was so close to the Seiko release. To a different extent, you can see this in the Chinese homage market. Currently there has been a surge to release Tudor BB style homages after Corgeut sold hundreds of their model.

I'm in the market for a 50 phantoms style watch....I only have casio digital watches at the moment No hand wind was the biggest negative i think

Ah, Casio's are the best though!👌 These Seiko's are the closest that I have seen to the 50 fathoms under £200. I agree, there's no excuse not to have a hand wind movement on a modern watch costing upwards of £100. No experience of the watch below personally, but Steeldive, SanMartin and Proxima all seem to come out of the same factory (Steeldive at the lower end of QC and cost).
