The bucket retains the full load, not like others that spill along the way to dumping the load. Is that due to good bucket design or a skillful operator?

Question...why is it that draglines always dig in water for gravel? And do they have ponds with water just for gravel? I'm seeing that alot on KZbin with draglines.
@OUKRH58 жыл бұрын
A dragline is not the most effective way to dig. If it is possible to dig in dry land, the use of hydraulic excavators or wheel loaders that dig the material from the bank and load it direct onto trucks or dumpers, is much more cost effective. But in many areas where gravel is mined, ground water level is high, so that the digging forms a lake. For this kind of extraction, draglines are a very good choice.

In many regions of austria and germany, gravel is in very lose deposits so it is mined by wheel loaders, without any problems @@samanli-tw3id

Für Abbrucharbeiten werden Seilbagger längst nicht mehr eingesetzt. Das erledigt nämlich ein Hydraulikbagger mit Betonschere.

Menck makes good equipment and what kind of engine? Sounds like a V-8 but maybe not. And Hendricks makes a fine bucket. Than is a good machine in spite of new paint. It's the running that counts, not much the looking. MY biggest was a Model-6 and a 30-B. And YES, get out the grease gun!

You're right. It sounds like a 2-stroke V8. But these are very unusual in Germany.

@@Nitramrec This machine is from the time when Menck already was a part of kohering, maybe there was an option for an american engine.
