I've always thought this show had an unusually high number (compared to other sitcoms) of older people on the show as FANTASTIC character actors, in both one-episode or recurring roles.

Yes. I only noticed until watching one of these compilation videos with all the parents that the older characters are one of my favorite things about this show. Both actors and writing are top notch. I sometimes find myself quoting Jerry's dad: "I only have a few good years left, if I want a chip ahoy I'm having it".

Those 4 were the best. Others were not as memorable. George's boss at PlayNow - Mr. Tomasulo. At Rick-Barr Properties - Rick Levitan. Elaine's boss at Pendant Publishing - Mr. Lipman. (Also George's boss for about a week until he had sex with the cleaning woman on his desk.) I love Kruger as he was also Commandant Spangler on "Malcolm In The Middle."

It is the sheer genius of both Jerry and LD that finds all these brilliant actors for their particular roles. I mean can you imagine anyone else as Mr Pitt, Peterman, Puddy, Soup Nazi, Babu, Neumann, Library Cop, Steinbrener, all of their parents including Susan's with the marble rye, and the list goes on, even the one episode players like Jean Paul the marathon runner, so freaking funny.

I love the flashback montage Elaine had when Mr Pitt fired her. It was very funny since all of these moments envolved Elaine being completely humilated by her boss. Usually people have flashbacks about fond memories that they are going to miss, but Elaine's flashbacks were so embarrassing it was played for laughs😃😂😁😀😅😆

@@nadimabbas4093 I think that in the end she didn't really care. Elaine is sort of a melodramatic person sometimes, seems to fantasize in narrative a lot- probably bc she's super smart, not really utilizing it much, and literary-minded. There are moments in the show where she gets emotional over fake scenarios that she's just thinking about. I think that she was probably just riding the wave in the moment and by the time she got home she'd be like "well, whatever."

Fyi the cutting up the snickers bar was based on a real person , most of oddities in the show are based on real things , for example Larry really did do a stake out , Seinfeld had an eccentric neighbour called Kramer, who did a tour bus around new York about the show

I just got it to work! It's a space ship on the bottom left, with a ringed planet behind it in the center, and a satellite on the top right. You can get a good look at it when Kramer sets it on the chair.
