I never thought about it but Jason Alexander in an interview said if they knew the show was gonna be on the air 9 years.... they'd make Jerry's apartment wayyyyy bigger. Go watch all the other big sitcoms like Cheers, Friends, Mary Tyler Moore.... the main sets are these giant rooms that can fit 100 people if they want. Look at Newhart, the main lobby of the hotel has 2 floors! And Jerry's apartment was insanely small for a TV show and difficult to figure out where the actors should be. There's a couch, a chair, the desk nobody uses, the window that never gets used, the kitchen is kinda small.... As a viewer you don't notice, of course, and they made it work for 9 years.
