It wasn't a law that got overturned. It was a decision on a prior court case that said states didn't have the power to make anti abortion laws. If Democrats would created an actual law guaranteeing abortions, the court decision being overturned wouldn't have mattered. They had 50 years to do it. They had the votes to do it many times across that 50 years.
