love cleaning my brushes. So satisfying. I made a DIY dupe for like $3.00 and it works like magic. Bought a dollar store mister bottle, and added 3/4 micellular water, and 1/4 Alcohol and it really cleans. and the Alcohol lets them dry in minutes and they are ready to use. Since its a smaller bottle, it doesn't take much and it costs so little. Brush cleaner is ridiculously expensive. It really should not cost that much. You can add scent if you want. but I didn't

Thank you, Barb!! This is actually a wig. It's the same color as my natural hair, but gives me a lot more volume :)

@@facingthefifties I thought it might be a wig. I wear wigs too and I’m a licensed cosmetologist for years. I love it it’s beautiful on you!

It’s Jon Renau “Kristi” in 39F38. It’s been a real challenge to find a gray that looks natural. I have a few wigs and a Raquel Welch topper that I’m in LOVE with! I’m planning to start doing videos on my hair journey…in case it’s helpful to anyone. I love that you’re a licensed cosmetologist! I would love to have that kind of training….I get all nerdy over hair, makeup and skincare, ha!!! ❤️

Hi! This was very helpful and thank you for color matching me😺. I would like to know about the Demi. Our colors are close. I’m rd but I have greenish veins. Eyebrows are a pain. Love your video, I’ll. Look for more of your videos xx

Hey Julie - I'm actually working on a video for Demi. I mainly use O3 on darkness/hyperpigmentation and YO1 to brighten some darkness under my eyes. Demi takes a little trial and error, but can be great for some areas. I'll definitely share all the details in the next video :)!

How often do you clean brushes. . especially if you use one brush for several purposes? Wouldn't there be a transfer of different colors on the same brush if you use one brush for several purposes?
@facingthefifties Жыл бұрын
Hi Lori! Great question! I typically do a "quick clean" once or twice a week. I use Cinema Secrets brush cleaner. I keep it in a spray bottle, and spray a little on a paper towel, then wipe the brush on the paper towel to clean it. As far as daily, I use one of Seint's microfiber cloths and wipe the brushes off between colors. If I'm using one of the brighter/deeper blushes, I'll wait until last to use that....but honestly, I can usually wipe it clean enough on the cloth to reuse it. I've got several tips I can share that are probably too much to type out here. I'll do a video to demonstrate and share some more details :)!

Hey thank you for color matching me. I’ll probably get Bella for my bronzer. I know you said Ash but Shawdow would that be to grey or dull or I thought i could use stone for my eyebrows. Or fior simple eyeshadow for liner . I like Cindy thank you so much 😻😻💙💚julie
@facingthefifties2 жыл бұрын
Hey Julie! You're welcome! Bella would be perfect for bronzer. Ash would be more of a contour (instead of a bronzer). Shadow is pretty grey. Stone is one of our warmest contours, so if you like a warm brow, you could certainly do that. I agree...Cindy is one of my faves!! Thank you so much!

Would you use the smudge brush to dot on your foundation?
@facingthefifties2 жыл бұрын
Hi Patricia! You certainly could! I use the smudge brush to buff in my color correcting highlight all the time. I also use it to tap on a little more of my main shade wherever I need it. I love it for under the eyes and, of course, I use it on my eyes. It’s one of my favorites for multi-use :)

Did you ever get the brush holder? I want to see the inside before I buy it.
@facingthefifties3 жыл бұрын
Hey Sandy, I did end up getting it. It's pretty flat, with a couple of flaps to protect the bristles. I can take some pictures tonight after work. If you want me to email them to you, just shoot me an email at facingthefifties@gmail.com so I'll be able to reply. I'll also try to post them on my Facebook page.

How do you clean them (like in between using them darks then lights. )
@facingthefifties3 жыл бұрын
Hi Erin! I usually keep a washcloth handy and just wipe the brush on it a few times between colors. Since I work in really thin layers, it's easy to remove any left on the brush. I also keep some quick-drying brush cleaner on my vanity in case I need it. I spray a few sprays on a paper towel and wipe the brush. It dries in seconds so I can use it almost immediately. Thanks for watching!

Hi! I measured a few after I saw your question. They vary in length…anywhere from 7 inches to 8.5 inches.

I noticed no expression when talking about brushing in your forehead or the 11 lines…any Botox… I was just curious that’s all.. but you are 51 so your not 60 yeti.. would you do filler at all in the cheeks . Thank you so much. Julie 🤗
@facingthefifties2 жыл бұрын
Hi Julie! I haven’t had any Botox. I think Im just lucky (so far) regarding my 11 lines. Who knows what they’ll look like in the future. I, personally, am not interested in cheek filler. I don’t really need it (the pizza/cheeseburgers fill my cheeks enough, ha). Thanks for your questions and for watching my videos. I appreciate it! 😃

You look great but Botox in the 11 lines or filling yet on cheek’s…just noticed it because no expression between your look when explaining things.. just wondering… Thanks

Hi Julie! Thank you :) I have not had any Botox or fillers. I’m certainly not against it, and would happily share if I had done those procedures. I have, unfortunately, gained about 15-20 pounds over the last couple of years, so I have to chalk up my fuller cheeks to too much pizza and junk food, ha ha!! Thanks for watching!
