There is actually an easier way for corrupted monk. When you enter circle around to the rear use 3 snap seeds, a bunch of firecrackers and/or fistful of ashes until its close enough for you to wall jump off this tall rock and get a stealth kill. Still works in recent patch.

an easier way and cheaper way is to just grab the mist raven tool, sneak up right behind the monk, and use it so you can get teleported into the air to get the deathblow

for the ape, this looks needlessly difficult, I'd rather learn the moveset than this, it's almost the same amount of effort. if you wanna cheese the ape, there is a specific window that you can use the continuously interrupt him and literally stunlock him to drain all his health in one go. that's a better cheese for the ape. but really every boss is weak to certain prosthetics, comebine that with a little bit of move set learning, ape is not really that bad

Just wanna say, these techniques are really great to combine with actual skill, like I used the Ichi double mortal blade technique for owl but was way more aggressive so it allowed me to beat him super fast, and I used the Emma cheese to get a fair shot at isshin, I think these strategies work really well to help make strategies, I use all no hit cheese strategies when I’m super low on health and don’t wanna die, it just works into how tha game is meant to be played, that’s why this video is so awesome

I think it's a great way to play after you've already beaten the game normally and going for other endings. When you're not playing on PC and can't make seperate save files, getting other endings means you have to play the game 4 times in total and when you have to fight the same bosses over and over, playing with cheese and experimenting is a good way not only to get to your goal faster but also to bring variety to the fights

The four phase isshin encounter tool me two hours of nonstop trying. But it's nice to know that mortal draw does that much damage. What I and probably many other players often forget is, that this game rewards an aggressive playstyle. Attack, deflect when necessary and attack again. Timing is everything. But honestly, it felt great to finally beat isshins ass. Same goes for the demon when you beat him without the cheese strat.

Respect for these insane strats, you figured out how to cheese every boss! At the same time, I would not reccomend cheesing a boss. On my first playthrough, I cheesed lady butterfly using the sidestep strategy, it wasn't too fun, and at the end I felt no satisfaction, and actually felt bad for doing it! It is 100x better to fight the bosses legit, it makes the experience more fun and gives wayy more satisfaction when you beat the boss

It’s funny because the “humanoid” bosses/mini-bosses were so easy to cheese (like dead hitting, luring into poison or off an edge, etc.) but big “beast” bosses were always get good at a certain strat but like you couldn’t ACTUALLY cheese the bigger bosses for some reason. Example being like the guardian ape, that strat can still be hard to do and it’s not like you’re glitching the game or anything, FromSoft actually meant for you to beat him that way 🤷‍♂️ The damn guardian ape kicked my ass pretty hard tbh

@@whynotelmo7951 That's a very shitty prompt considering how we probably used it hundreds of times until that point, and how vague and non-specific it is relating to Lady Butterfly. One would tend to think it's a delayed tutorial on something you took for granted, and not come to the conclusion you hit twice, step dodge, repeat. That's precisely why so many players have never hone this cheese.

before you guys consider the lady butterfly cheese, i suggest trying this strategy i found that lets you cheese her ass as if you were ongbal! after cutscene, immediately run towards her and r1 twice, delay 3rd strike (this will be important) if she parries your third one, wait approximately a second then press l1 for deflect, the reason for press delay is so you dont get panicked and stuck in swing animation as she may parry you at just the 2nd r1, once you deflect her counter kick immediately r1, rinse and repeat and she wont even get a chance to jump away like 90% of the time

Idk if the Guardian Ape counts as cheese. Still takes learning and reacting to the moveset with proficient timing and spacial awareness. Not to mention the deflects needed on phase 2. More of a strategy than a cheese.

@The Strategic Gamer Yeah, my guardian ape fight in my (still ongoing because I only just started playing again after rage quitting at just after chained ogre in 2019) first playthrough looked pretty similar, but with ichimonji:double after firecracker stun. I found staying close and parrying the first phase Guardian Ape hits to be way too dangerous for me because I could never reliably avoid his perilous grab that way so I only ever hit him when he fell down or after using firecrackers. Second phase I did way more parrying and was a lot more aggro though because the perilous were easier to dodge imo (though the terror scream still got me A LOT because of bad camera angles)

Yo the corrupted monk would start to “fall” after throwing the fist full of ash and I kept try to have him fall but he eventually got out of the glitch and I had to get him stuck again, and I had no more healing items because I failed to get him stuck so many times. I got him stuck again and I finished him off after his third phase, thanks man
