Couldn’t have said it any better. Just got the game, started it, now I’m stuck on this main general I’m trying to defeat and it’s been taking me more than 20 attempts so far. Very fucking hard, but what’s great is the game really does tests your combat of strategy. Meaning what moves are you gonna try to do next to defeat him? I like how it’s just you and a katana. That’s it. I realize that dying over and over again is just what’s gonna make me stronger and stronger again.

For everyone coming from soulsborne games: in Sekiro you can’t grind (you can’t extra farm to increase stats). However, I noticed the boss fights have somewhat more complex and various strategies. You will go from trying to dodge / block at random to knowing what to do for any of the boss’ moves. Honestly, it’s not a game where you become stronger as a character, it’s a game where you see yourself become stronger as a player.

beating the game and then going back through in NG+ while I was 100%ing the game really put into perspective how much you learned over the course of your first playthrough. I remember bashing my head against the wall trying to beat lady butterfly and Ashina Elite (yes I struggled with the Ashina Elite), and yet in NG+ I found them shockingly easy to beat just because my understanding of the core mechanics had grown so much. If souls games are about learning how to beat a certain boss, sekiro is about learning how to be a strong fighter and applying that to bosses. Like stated in the video, each boss teaches you a unique way of tackling enemies, and it will take some time to learn those mechanics, but once you do you'll be able to apply them in the future, it's an incredibly satisfying gameplay loop. If you're not looking for a challenging game, maybe go elsewhere, but anyone that's beaten a souls game should have the stubbornness required to press on.

First I would like to say that I’m new to playing video games. I have played a couple here and there and I was never any good really. I gave gaming a try when I was a kid and Nintendo had just came out so this has been a long time ago( think Mike Tyson’s Punchout, original Super Mario, Contra, Castlevania and Top Gun) so it’s a long time ago lol. I just recently bought my first gaming console (Xbox One S) and I’m still learning the controls and what they do. I got Sekiro Shadows Die Twice because I saw some of the gameplay of Ghost of Tsushima and really want to play it but they don’t make it for Xbox One but, I must say that I am really enjoying this game. Look I don’t know a whole lot about the tech specs or whatever but, this is super fun to play. I don’t care that it’s 30 frames per second because I have no idea what that means. To be honest, I don’t really care either because I just want to have fun. I have had this game for about 3 weeks and whenever I get stuck on some part I just put in another game and play it until I get stuck and come back to it. It takes me a while to get things done right but, I have fun doing it and that’s all that matters to me. I may never beat the game but, I don’t care just as long as I have fun and the story is enjoyable.

I love it when you're feeling powerful, you are an utterly ruthless shinobi you have just sliced right through an army of enemies and honed your shinobi skills to a flawless perfection. Then you walk in a courtyard to stealth kill a giant rooster except you don't see his three brothers just behind you and they jump and squawk and claw you to bloody pieces. All you get for your hard work is an unapologetic 死.

I'm almost 40 years old and I don't know that I've ever LOVED video games. I've also never felt a huge sense of accomplishment from beating them either. This game is different. I went to Hirata Estate the second I got the bell, and fought lady butterfly way before I should have. I got violently angry. That miserable old woman clapped my cheeks at least 50 times. When I finally beat her I screamed. My heart was racing, and my hands were shaking. I have never felt that from a video game before. It is excellent.

From Software wasn't the original creators of course ,but as @Roach mentioned they hold the license. I should have worded my comment better sorry about that. Due to some really stupid decisions on my part and some very bad luck, I lost my PS4 and T.V. I'm going really hard looking for a job though. I have an interview on Monday 😁!!! I need to get some things taken care of and pay my bills first. As soon as I'm caught up, the first money that I have that doesn't need to go towards necessities, I am getting a new T.V. and a PS4. This game is one of the main reasons. I'm also grabbing God of War, Red Dead Redemption II, and Resident Evil II. I really can't wait. I'm sooooo excited and extremely motivated. When I had my PS4, the last games I was playing was New Game++ Dark Souls 3, Monster Hunter World, and Terraria. I definitely have some catching up to do. On my list, but not limited to, are the following: Nier, Hollow Knight, Bloodstained, P.o.E., Death's Gambit, Persona 5, Ni No Kuni II, Darksiders III, DMC 5, Metro: Exodus, etc. Just to name a few. Sorry for my whole life story. I just feel like my fellow gamers know where I'm coming from and could share my excitement. As a community, we generally are really supportive of each other and understand the pain of not playing for a while. Video games truly help me in so many different ways. If anyone actually read all of this, thank you. If you want to talk or anything, leave a comment or something. I could definitely use some friends, lol. Other than my brother, I don't really talk to anyone else. Enough of that though. I can't wait to play this game. Thanks for the video guys. This is like my favorite YT channel. Hard to find trustworthy game journalist, plus I usually agree with their thoughts. I'll shut up now, lol.
