Bro i just finished watching the whole video. Amazing how you only missed one mikiri parry the whole run. I think owl and genichiro when mikiri deflected still ends their combo string. Genichiro pushes you backwards, and owl dies whirlwind slash, but threafter the string ends. The saint isshin combo, however, extends if you deflect. Combining two combo strings, and more if the 2nd string ends with another mikiri deflect. Perhaps it will keep going until you either use mikiri counter or he ends the last string with the charged unsheathe shockwave or the one where he moves to your left and then drags his spear (a move which inner isshin rarely/never does). As for the one in 1:19:16, you dont need to feel bad. You deflected the same attack in the previous string - it is just the same repeated. Genichiro’s floating passage can actually be dealt with in an easier and more rewarding way without prosthetics and combat art. I wont tell you if you dont want spoilers but it is a similar strategy to the one you used against isshin’s similar attacks. I still think demon of hatred is the hardest boss - the SOB delivered my only resurrection use two days ago. And i dont think i can beat him with no damage. Ive beaten inner father and inner genichiro without damage. Inner isshin and isshin deals one damage only (excl. lightnign rev) in my best fights where i deflected all his bullets with sword. But demon of hatred’s awkward whips are hardest to deflect imo. Gyoubu sucks too but he is fragile. As for isshin’s ashina cross it is easier to deflect it than to run around him - i discovered this while comparing Elden Ring’s, Sekiro’s and GOw’s deflect timing. Er is janky. Sekiro deflect happens when his sword is in the perpendicular position to his torso (horizobtally parallel to and in front of his forehead). The already lifted position. Unlike Gow spartan aspis which happens the moment you press the button even BEFORE the shield is fully formed - the second kratos hand is at acute angle to his torso. In short, you need to click block BEFORE isshin dashes towards you, while he is still in standing position - when his sword glistens a second time in the sheathe. It is like you will be punished for trying to deflect in the precise time. Kind of stupid i think. This bad timing is also evident in Demon Hate 3rd phase when he creates wall of fire. After jumping his first perilous sweep, i open my umbrella to deflect his second sweep before planning to jump the third sweep (second perilous). In (edit: 1/8 speed) slow motion you can clearly see the spirit emblem spent and umbrella opening BEFORE the damage hit. But still i got damaged as if i never deflected. Edit: damaged as in unguarded dmg, not even block damage

@@SomeUserk did I seriously only miss a mikiri parry? daaaaaaamn man, almost a perfect run 😂 the thing with Genichiro, specially his normal and inner versions, is that he puts you in a dangerous situation after parrying his mikiri, he can immediately follow up with a plethora of strings with his bow that are very difficult to parry and you can't really prevent them at the distance he pushes you to, you have to wait and see what he does which makes the fight much more complex the fights with owl father dont really become that much different but keep in mind both father and inner father have a fu*ckton of stamina and not performing mikiris reduces your stamina damage drastically, so the fight drags on for a lot longer and for Isshin, I'm just lazy and dont wanna learn how to parry his ashina cross properly LMFAO also, what's the trick to counter Genichiro's floating passage that you mentioned? I wanna know

When genichiro does the 9 version combo where you slash him after parrying the first two when he pauses before unleashing the rapid 7 hits, you parry again the 3rd and 4th hit after hitting him. Then you dodge under his 5th slash forward to your right so you can punish him from behind. Like you dodge owl father firecracker and isshin bullets

@@SomeUserk Hmm, interesting, I think I've tried that before but couldn't get it to work, I guess I was doing it wrong then, worse come to worst, I guess you can always use umbrella to safely deflect the 3 hits before the final one I guess
