Aww, nice to see the birds going about their lives. Kappa is still doing well. Yuki is relaxed enough to wait for tossed mealworms. Exciting to see the juvenile wagtail and young sparrows. What a happy yard you have. 🥰

I would have liked to see Kappa and Yuki feeding their chicks in this yard, but it doesn't seem to be working out the way I wish. I think one of the reasons is that their nesting place is far from here, but I am still happy that Yuki comes several times a day to get food from me. The sparrows are my neighbors, so I hope they will show me their nesting chicks again at the next breeding. ☺️ Thank you again for watching and for your support.🙇♀️
The babies are always my favorite! Thank you for another beautiful video!

Thank you Dave for all your support. I too love baby birds and try to shoot video them as much as possible this season. I hope I can show you more of them. I just now noticed that your profile picture was Finn. I didn't realize it was a sparrow because the faces of tree sparrows in Japan and house sparrows in the US are very different. Looking forward to seeing your video of Finn, but I know you are very busy. Please no hurry! I will wait patiently 😊.

@@Sekisuke You’re very welcome! You are correct in that Finn’s picture (she was sitting on my leg when I took it) is my profile picture. This week I was replacing portions of my deck so I’m running a little behind on my ‘Celebrating Finn’ video but hopefully will have it done this week! ❤️
Beautiful scenes. Chuntaro in the flowers looks just heavenly. So funny they play hide and seek behind the car wheel. I think Yuki is letting them win, I'm sure she can react faster than that. Kappa please get a grip with that dance! lol Thanks for this adorable video.

Both Kappa and Yuki dodged for a moment when I threw the food. At that moment, Chunko comes to snatch it away. Maybe wagtails can move faster, but sparrows have more guts! 😆
That's Chunko-mama for you--she will do anything for her children, even if it means getting it from bigger birds (like Yuki). Looks like the sparrows are doing well. And I hope Yuki's chicks are doing well, too.
Your yard is full of bird life! 🐦🐦🐦😃 sparrows have already firmly registered in your bird restaurant! 😅 maybe the young wagtail is Kappa and Yuuki's baby!!😉🍼🐣 I wish all birds long happy life!❤🎉

Fantastic video 👏❤❤❤ My white wagtails Chipi and Spooky also have mating dances for the whole period of nesting (they are both males, and dances for my hands), in spring and summer, only in autumn and winter a quiet period. It's very interesting to see how sparrows and wagtails interact 🥰

Thank you so much for your information that I didn't know! Yes! I remember your sweet Chipi.🥰 You need to upload more Chipi and Spooky's video! I definitely want to see them more!☺️
I'm glad the sparrows are so fearless there, too. In the city here they sometimes eat out of your hand...very cute! :) Don't you think it's likely that Kappa is not a father, instead hopelessly trying to woo Yuki? If he's not on food runs, he probably does not have chicks, right?

Thank you for watching and commenting!😆 Just the other day, another viewer commented that Kappa and Yuki may not be a mating partners. I have been able to confirm their couple specific behavior since 2021, so there is no doubt that they are partners. There are two possible reasons why Kappa doesn't take food from here. One is that the nesting site is very far from here. I can see that it is at least 600 meters (nearly 650 yards) away, but I don't know how much further from that point. And there is a large river in between here and their nest, and the location of river is teeming with insects that provide food for the birds. They probably don't come all the way to this yard, which is far from the nest, to catch food for their chicks. In fact, while raising their young, they need to bring food to the nest more than 200 times a day, but Kappa and Yuki come to this yard to eat only several times a day. Maybe ten times at the most. Another thing is that meal worms may not be a suitable food source for the chicks. I'm not sure if that is size or textures. It is hard to tell from the videos, but Yuki doesn't actively try to carry meal worms from here. She has never directly carried them out of the small dish, She will not carry it unless I throw the meal worms outside. She appears to be picking them up as they are thrown outside, not wanting to be taken by sparrows or other birds. And I only throw the meal worms to Yuki about twice a day to see if she is still raising chicks. Sorry for the long explanation. I wanted to write this explanation down in English once, so it became a detailed explanation. I really appreciate the feedback and questions from viewers because it gives me a chance to see things from a different perspective. So, thank you very much!🥰
