The Star Fox 64 Restored OST is one of the many results following the "Gigaleaks of Nintendo" from July 24th and 25th, 2020. Found in the files of the game were not only all of the uncompressed voice lines, but also uncompressed instrument samples for the music, as well as the MIDI sequences used in the game to perform the music. Using the instrument samples and MIDI sequences, I was able to recreate the entire soundtrack to Star Fox 64 in the highest quality we have ever heard.

It always made me think of how happy I was as a kid clearing the game (since it also plays at the high score screen after a run) or how sad I was for failing a run. Now when I hear it, it reminds me so much of just being a kid again. That carefree innocence and wonder that I'll never have again, but that I didn't realize I had back then.

This is gonna sound weird, but I associate this track with the gulf coast at night. I remember the first time I ever played this game was during a summer I spent with my dad in northwestern Florida, and we would ride our bikes to the beach late at night. Good memories.

The tone of this menu music sounds so different to most level scores in the game, you wouldn't think it's part of the same game. This feels more calming to listen to, especially when I'm viewing my total hit ranking list.

it kinda sounds like a remix of the ending credits theme of the original snes starfox... but also the controls select menu from that game. which has my fav starfox songs of all time. but this 64 version is quite good too.
