I still remember how loosely you started talking against India in interviews back then even the arrogance against the Pak pitches or any criticism. George Bailey became cheif selector soon after he retired Mark Waugh before that. England cheif selector is Luke Wright who played until 2022 so it is not that recently retired players cant/shouldnt be selectors. It is toxicity, unprofessionalism, and lack of cricket understanding which is to blame. Most players/ selectors lack the cricketing intelligence which is the reason behind all this mess. What better do we expect from cricket team if the chairman of board’s only qualification is that he is an obedient pet of garrison.
