Great piece but why is it cut off,....Why is not the whole piece included???? That is so bad since the piece is great….

Yes, I agree that piece is my favorite 5head

so people buy the whole piece rather than stealing the music

@@alicekerby4569 Usually the whole piece is included, though. I haven't played for long, but I've never come across a cut-off piece like this. And these youtube renditions are invaluable for the practising of us novices.

@@monmothma3358 Most full concert band or orchestra scores won't show the whole thing, because composers/arrangers rely on people buying their music
@monmothma33582 жыл бұрын
@@alicekerby4569 While I emphatize with that, it's, like I said, not my experience. Not as far as KZbin goes. Also, this is no replacement for purchasing the sheet music (which we do), at least if you're learning to play it. You can't do that just by listening - but it helps a great deal when you have to practise without your concert band.

The bari part for this is extremely fun but there are a lot of rests (as to be expected when playing a bari in a concert band). We are playing this song in my college concert band. Very fun piece.

The CIty of Dunedin (FL) Concert Band performed this several years ago under my baton. BIG PROBLEM. Why oh why was "Bring Him Home" not included in this arrangement! It is THE Iconic melod in the entire play. SO....I found a perfect stand alone version of "Bring Him Home" that we inserted into the Barker arrangement (it is even in the same key where we pasted it in) and had our HS choir director sing it with the band. It brought down the house of some 800 people in a Standing "O" and we even had to pause the performance before we actually finished out the original Barker arrangement! I think people may STILL be talking about that performance. I am still puzzled as to WHY Barker did not include Bring Him Home. I await an answer. Dr. Z (Lou)
