When she was found out, she murdered Selena. Selena was too trusting because of her religious upbringing as a Jehovah's witness. I was in an abusive marriage when Selena was rising up and becoming such a major star. I wasn't listening to the radio at that time and wasn't paying attention to award shows, concerts in town, etc because I was too busy trying to survive. I would sometimes hear people playing her music and wondered who it was because I really liked it. After I finally got away and was able to get a divorce and live again, I found Selena and immersed myself in her music for about 3 years. I didn't understand what she was saying but her music made me happy and I hadn't been happy in a long, long time. Thank you, Selena. May your beautiful soul continue to touch others as it did mine. I can remember when someone gave me some Selena black skirts. I used to wear them and dance in them trying to do like on the movie. The person who given me the skirts was how I found out about Selena. She used to dance in them as a little girl. I loved it. This was my favorite song ❤️.

I’m from the Philippines and moved to America 19 years ago. Selena is not famous in the Philippines but i knew about her because i watched the movie Selena played by Jlo. We used to hang out at friends house in elementary days and we always watch the movie. I became a fan of Selena after that. But sad because I never knew about her when she was alive. We go to school and we would say “ this bumper was pulled by the bus of selena!!” and other kids cannot relate. Also made me appreciate Latina beauty. So Bonita!😂
