There were actually quite a few scenes that didn't make it into the film. In the extended version, Mr. Quintanilla is talking to Jose Behar on the phone, and tells him that the Hi Ho Mexican restaurant has the best Mexican food in Corpus Christi. I love that scene, because I ate there when I visited Corpus in 2011, and actually met and had my picture taken with Mr. Quintanilla. The food IS great, and Selena often ate there, as well. There are photos and paintings of her everywhere!

The only thing wrong with this scene is that Selena didn’t have long hair when this song came out, she had short brown curly hair, it pretty much looked like a little afro😂 I’m pretty sure she was much taller too, she was 15 when this song came out. I read somewhere that she had her Quinceañera early. (for other girls, it’s when you turn 16) She had one early probably because she was always on the road, and didn’t have time for one, I guess.

No it's Jennifer Pena singing. Jennifer Pena was the singing voice for child Selena in the movie. Also all the songs Jennifer Pena sang for the movie were actual songs Selena released when she was younger. The reason why they hired a different singer to provide vocals for child Selena was because Warner Bros wasn't willing to spend the extra money to buy the original music catalog Selena recorded as a child since they were owned by a different record company called Many Records. When Selena was 18 she signed with EMI Latin and they were the ones who produced Selena's now infamous albums like her self titled album "Selena", "Entre A Mundo", "Selena Live", "Amor Prohibido", "Dreaming of You" etc. EMI Latin was the music catalog Warner Bros bought for the film and that was the music/vocals they had adult Selena/Jennifer Lopez lip-synch to.
