Thanks man for speaking so well about Selena. I ran into her in Dallas, Texas back in 1995 in her last performance here and as my wife and I at the time we were walking outta the club Tejano West we ran into her and she just smiled and said hello in the friendliest way. Never will forget that.

I remember she played at Lee Park in Dallas. My step brother at the time got lost and she picked him up on stage and carried him. My mom was so scared, so relieved and then so embarrassed My mom also saw her perform at La Bamba in Dallas as well. I was 12 when Selena died and I was devastated because I grew up listening to her.

Love your reactions. Thank you for keeping Selena’s memory alive 💜 I visited the museum in 2018 and as soon as you step in, you can feel the sadness of the loss it’s very eerie but beautiful at the same time. While I was there I met Suzette, her sister, and their father. Very sweet and down to earth people. They love interacting with the fans that go there, so if you see them make sure you tell them about your channel, they will love you!

I`m from Texas and knew Selena was good , because of how many people went to see her at the rodeo in the Astrodome. After she was murdered , they were playing her songs on the radio and I liked it so much that I bought the '' dreaming of you '' album. After seeing her live performances on you tube , and with her personality , I`m starting to think she would have been the best female performer out there if she had lived, especially her job with the Donna Summer and Gloria Gaynor songs , who were both very good! Nice job on posting her vids !

There's still a few more Selena songs to explore. There is I'm Getting Used to You, God's Child, and Captive Heart. And there is even more. I Could Fall In Love and Dreaming of You are the most well known of her English tracks but these just needed time and exposure and they would have been more popular also. And there are many more Spanish songs as well that are also great. Like Ya No, it has a rock vibe to it. Selena will always hold a place in my heart. Also there is another artist that I want you to discover. Sadly the same thing happened to her as Selena. You can Google it and learn about it but she was and is a very talented artist. Christina Grimmie is her name. She was also a song writer. She put out 2 or three albums and did some touring before she was killed at the age of 22 in June of 2016. She was on the Voice and covered lots of songs on KZbin, that's how she got started. Her songs Feeling Good, With Love and Absolutely Final Goodbye are my favorites. So check out this talented artist when you can find the time. I wish Christina Grimmie and Selena both were still with us just like so many others. Look up Christina Grimmie's audition video for The Voice. She sang Wrecking Ball by Miley Cyrus and killed it. I still go there and watch it again when I want to. It's one of the best blind auditions and KZbin videos there is in my opinion. That would be a good way to be introduced to her. ❤

Fun fact: Tv producers in Mexico were writing a script starring Selena! I think most people would agree that Selena would’ve had more success, popularity, & fame than Jlo & Shakira combined. Probably a fame we have yet to see but a fame equal to those who are beloved by millions around the world.

You should go see her Wax Figure too at Madame Tussauds Hollywood, she's beautiful. Hi Jamal. I think you should check out Johnny Cash performing 'Peace in the Valley' in San Quentin penitentiary. He gave a show to the inmates there which was an all around great show that was filmed (and also put out on album). It is a touching song and a great performance and seeing the inmates visibly enjoying it really adds something to it as well. I think you would like it a lot.

I am in my 60's and only heard new her name when she died. I am new to the Selena party and have been watching lots of video for 2 months. I have never witnessed a more complete and mesmerizing performer in my life. Tragic loss is an understatement. Please check out her "Cumbia Medley." You may have reacted to some of these songs, but they show many clips from many performances. Her fantastic fashion sense is overlooked. She may have designed her outfits, as she was pursuing fashion design. Was her dancing self taught, too?
@BrooklynBabeee4 жыл бұрын
Selena was fully self taught although she would watch TV with dance groups & what not & would then do something in her own way but for the most part when she would hit the stage it would just be freestyle dance to the music & rhythm as she went along.
