It gets old. The constant touring, costume changes, hair, makeup, waxing and plucking; all that gets old. It's fun when you're young but being on stage singing the same old songs gets tiresome after a while. Some artists are stuck in the touring cycle for life, and they hate it. Look at Cher. She's still touring at 80. So if Selena wants to act instead of living a pop star life then good for her and I would too.

I think "old" is equivalent to "unhealthy" here. Regardless of her chronological age, she doesn't feel that young anymore, so she focuses on something she thinks she can handle better. I love her songs though. I hope she knows how beautiful her songs are.
