It's been a long and difficult journey overcoming the trauma bond of my relationship with my baby's father. We've been separated over a year now and still I have to keep reminding myself of all the things he did or I start to miss him or think that he's not that bad, and I am the crazy one. Every time I hear this song it reminds me to keep moving forward and never turn back. Overcoming abusive relationships is easier said than done, and takes a lot of work. It's ok if we slip up sometimes, we're only human, but we have to keep moving forward no matter what. It gets easier. We get stronger. It's worth it.
