I’m not necessarily a Selenator but she was a constant part of my childhood and for many as well. I grew up watching wizards and hearing her music on the radio and I was able to bond with my older sis because of Selena. Not to mention she was the first young Mexican actress on disney channel I ever saw. (I know she’s half Mexican but it still meant a lot to me as a Mexican kid lol) So I felt represented in a way and that fact that she was from Texas too made her more relatable to me than any other celebrity I knew at the time. Having that small representation helped me as a first generation immigrant she inspired me a lot as a child. So she will always have a special place in my heart even though I don’t keep up with her now. Thank you Selena Gomez for making my childhood special
