I remember getting woken up the early morning to my parents watching the news immediately after the poor girl was murdered. It wasnt just a big loss of life, it was also lost potential for a lot of musical inspiration in the mexican community. Sucks that Selena Quintanilla isnt mainstream remembered like a lot of performers even though shes been working for close to a decade before she passed.
