I am using the wrenn landfall setup from Jim Davis that uses felidar and scute and the amount of times I come back and win with one life against an opponent in the 40s life total is been pretty frequent

I prefer field trip over farmhand like in the original list, getting out mascots is pm your only air defence outside of seven and 7 mana is basically spare change for this deck. Also getting seven out a turn before your opponent I feel can be a big game changer on the draw.

I love this, but I'd probably replace1 or 2 Yasharn with an Ashaya. When all of your creatures become lands, your Wrenn token (Stimpy) will be enormous! Also casts Storm and Emeria's Call faster.

I made it to mythic today for the first time. I used simic ramp added wrenn of seven x4 memory deluge x2 and esika's chariot x1 for fun. I went 30-13 69% win rate. Got the Idea after listening to the arena craft podcast.

I've recently been running a similar list but in Naya, adding red for Valakut Exploration and 2 copies of Crackle With Power. The card advantage Valakut Exploration gives is huge, and makes drawing land in the late game a free redraw. Also, the ping damage it does when you don't play the exiled card can add up in a long game against a control heavy deck. As for crackle with power; the mana this deck puts out is insane. Getting to 11 mana for 15 damage happens all the time, and it's fantastic to see. I'd love to see if CGB can brew up something similar because I'm sure my list is far from optimized, but it's still helping me grind through the ladder pretty easy! EDIT: Splashing red also allows for shatterskull smashing for extra removal! And I replaced rootgrazer with Dire-Strain rampage. Helps ramp early or defend against book combo. AND it has flashback. Really great value in this deck.

@@AamariWilliams book of exalted deeds + faceless Haven. Makes it so you have a land (faceless Haven) with a counter that says "you cannot lose the game and opponents can't win the game". If you don't have a way to destroy lands it makes for an instant lock on the game!

1. I love that scute swarm is getting the spotlight it deserves. Ive had so much fun with that card. Check out HGG's simic build with pugilist if you get the chance. 2. The bear. When kaldheim first dropped i wondered why he got 0 play. He's the best landfall enabler there is. You will. Not. Miss. A. Land. You can ramp with it. Tap and float the mana. Bounce replay badabing. I think it was because there was no reason to even try selesnya. Midnight hunts ride really helped out. 3. That 4/4 is a hoser. The most anti-black thing ive ever seen. Kill it. If you can. You might only think you can and are jusy screwed.

I have like 20 ashaya fun facts. Yasharn says you can’t sacrifice none land permanents or pay life to cast spells/ activate abilities, but with ashaya out your creatures are lands so you can sacrifice them through yasharn :)

loved the video man, put together my own version with rite of harmony, felidars retreat, lotus cobras, field of ruin, and vorinclex. made storm a one of & cut the 2/3 & farmhand from the list, also made emerias a one of. scute swarm combos great with rite of harmony if you get lucky. Rite also becomes a draw 2 for 2 + flashback makes it great in mid-late game especially when you can drop a land & draw 1 to your whole deck with scute swarm! rite harmony feels like it has a home in a potential token deck like this, hope you feature the card soon, keep making awesome decks

I think simic ramp does a good job vs this deck. Games tend to go 30+ minutes but I'm 5-0 vs WG ramp with Simic, Cyclone summoner into Summoner plus activating a hall adds a pretty fast clock.

he would still lose a lot of health and many blockers. except innkeeper, every card draw would be good for cgb including lands. And it would probably be too hard to keep the scute swarm under control without a boardwipe in the deck. He could survive 1 more attack but probably not much more.

I think if you wanted to run Felidar Retreat the best cut would be a couple of Yasharns. I doubt you want Yasharn all the time and as stated, it's a nonbo with innkeeper. But the Felidar Retreat isn't as efficient as Scute Swarm for generating tokens, so overall you really want it for the pump. Also, nice.
