I'm so glad you were able to lift yourself out of such gloom. I love birthdays! Mine and everyone else's and I always make a cake, give gifts and sing the Happy Birthday Song. Every year is a gift and an achievement. I've had 69 such years and I expect to have a lot more. Life is for living, so live it fully. The cake looked amazing. What size tin did you use? Recipe please! Hugs!

I always feel uncomfortable on my birthdays, it's not fear of age, I like the maturity, knowledge and some tranquility that age brings. I really prefer to spend my birthday in the company of the few people I really love, a good cake, my books and my cat. But the discomfort remains and I've learned to accept it as normal. Happy birthday!🎉
