No way!!! Congrats Ange! This is huge news, you have certainly earned this next step. I found your channel when I was searching for motivation and to find people to relate to on my own journey to getting my MLIS. Your videos have been so inspirational and look at you now - YOU LEVELED UP BIG TIME! We have so many similarities - I am also a mom who decided to go back to school to become a librarian and my dream is to be an academic librarian someday. I love picking symbols for new endeavours and for this one, I picked a snail - slow and steady, resilient, eventually getting where it needs to go. Every time I see one, I’m reminded that even if it feels like it’s taking a long time, it will happen someday as long as I keep going and carry my sense of self and home with me, the same way that snails carry their home on their back. Imagine my joy when I was watching your video about achieving your dream of becoming an academic librarian when a giant snail pops up on the screen and a song about it not being easy but being worth it is playing at the same time. Signs from the universe at their finest!

🐌🐌🐌🐌🐌❤️ That’s exactly how I felt! I always told myself “How do you eat an Elephant?: One bite at a time”, right?!? I will just chip away at this Masters Course one subject, one task at a time until it’s done! I ABSOLUTELY believe in signs and synchronicities! I have tonnes of them too! I was seeing 1111 ALL THE TIME when I applied for the new position, so even though it was scary to change jobs, I felt like it was right 🌟✨

Anj, that is wonderful news. So good. Placements are often hard and of course unpaid, but the opportunities they sometimes present are so worth it. I remember being on placement and having an opportunity presented to me and it brings the reality that your new career is up and running. So happy for you. One of my self care things is on a Saturday when I meet a friend for a walk, I make my fave weekend breakfast and watch your latest vlog. 👏😀❤

One thing my girls and I did was have a spa day at home, do face masks, paint nails, have a fancy coffee or tea, or whatever you like and put on fun music. Enjoy your day in the park!

I am so thrilled for you. you were brave and your life will be forever changed. Just a little encounter I had with a librarian I met on a river cruise. This lady was retired from being a university librarian for Einstein. I think you never know where you can end up as a librarian. Have a wonderful life experience.

congrats! such an exciting announcement! maybe someday I'll be able to do the same thing. I'm really interested in becoming a librarian but I am finishing up my teaching degree in the US right now. I'm trying to decide if I should teach for a little while or just jump right into working in a library while also getting my masters. I go back and forth every day.

That’s how I did it too! I got my teaching degree first, and taught for a bit. Then pivoted after I had my first baby. The experience was so valuable and the skills are totally relevant! 👍🏼
