This is amazing. I doubt it's practical for developing countries as a personal toilet, but it's like a concept car where the technology will make its way into practical use in some form down the line. Thanks for putting in the effort to make this!

we need to put this in place immediately extrmely important. the us government can and must dos so much ,ore to improve access to clean water and sanitation in poor nations. extremely traggic and horrible how many people lack and die and suffer enormously because of they dont have access. we must do much more asap

Problem could be maintenance of the system but it looks great

They intend to work with the Chinese government on developing toilet houses in shipping containers to send to schools in South Africa, and have as many people as possible use the toilets. Although the Chinese design may cost $15,000, a Caltech researcher says this meets the Gate's Foundation's original target of sanitization for FIVE CENTS per person per day.

I am sure 3rd world and developing countries will be able to afford this... Sounds resonable. I can't even afford solar power.

One should try to understand their conception of Developing Country.Man, with those kind of brains at security and important scintific agencies I think we are in much more risk today than in the cold war , concerning the nukes. Cheers from Brazil, mfm col MD Brazilian Army.

why do you need all that super high tech tools if you are gonna use it for fertilizing we fertile our farm with cow dump anyways
