The late Ware, was he not saddly an ecumenist? Not denying the wonder work that was done with the translations to English of the Philokalia Volumes One through Four. Only I found many things off with "The Orthodox Church" and "Way" ...but, reading the Holy Patristic fathers of the Church and apply them practically is what I found to be great benefit.

Excuse me... But is this one of the so many cases of nowadays... in which the preacher says "Do as I say not as I do"? Because it doesn't seem like the priest's life would be informed by self-discipline... How come nowadays self-control doesn't need to be appled to one's eating habits? Why is it justifiable and basically taboo to mention such a sin that is so easily recognizable? I don't mean to be unkind. But I intend to say the truth when I see it. This is a vice and so much a normalized vice in Western society especially that the sin must not be acknowledged at all. I don't think this is helping anybody who is serious about following Christ and God's laws.
