Self Defence Classes with 1Touch Project

Between March and May 2018, a group of London Vision East members participated in 10 self-defence classes every Saturday in Stratford, East London. The classes were run in partnership with self-defence expert Umit Turkesev from 1Touch Project. His son Deniz Turkesev also assisted.
Each week the group learned new self-defence techniques taught by Umit and Deniz. The course aimed to improve the wellbeing of visually impaired people, as well as increase their confidence and independence.
Well done to all the class participants for completing the course. We're very proud of you all! Also, thank you to 1Touch Project for facilitating the classes.
