I was an FFDO (Federal Flight Deck Officer) trained by Federal Air Marshals certified certified by Homeland Security but I was NOT a law enforcement officer.

My church security consists of a patrol officer and four of his non-LEO buddies. They do no shooting, croud control, strategic, or team building training. I approached an assistant pastor regarding this inadequacy. My concern was dismissed. He explained that the security leader's parents and family are long time members. He told me that this "fine young ma is a police officer" as if that automatically qualifies him as a security expert. It does not.
