They are vital if needed as a VERY last resort. As a lifelong FMA practitioner and teacher. Also from someone who has actually used one in deadly encounters (in combat) Using one is not for the faint of heart. It's horrifying to watch someone basically bleed out regretting their life choices. As a civilian it would be ABSOLUTE LAST option to save my life.

brotha timmy , OOOHRAH N SEMPER FI MARINE BROTHA , you know me , i e.d.c. a coldsteel 4 max scout blade on my person and for work/travels and i'd prefer a 5 max or a espada xl and a revolver is much much more accurate that a semi auto so i'd want a .357 magnum or .44 magnum preferably with wadcutter rounds for self defense , thanks n talk soon bro > tom !

Important to remember most assaults are close quarters and the "21' / 1.5 Second" rule was under ideal conditions. For most it'll be worse. Blades are king in that range if you sadly have to defend yourself 🗡️. Here in NY body armor isn't even legal, sadly 🥲 Agilite is the official supplier of the IDF I believe, LBT also does sales regularly on their carriers.
