These day-by-day series are really meaningful to me, and I think you guys should know that. It's production makes myself, and I imagine a lot of others connect with this content. It feels so incredibly relatable and real. The big brand content is so over-produced these days and it really does not represent the majority of hunters who are doing hunts exactly like this. Like a lot of the clothing or equipment brands have these "epic" hunts that are great to watch, but they just aren't as real as the content your team makes. Even your big adventure hunts are so relatable and not "hardcore" extremes that come across so dissociative from the average hunter. I think you guys do it the best in this format across all of your hunts. Thank you guys again and please keep it up!

I've really been enjoying the day by day series more-so than the usual, and I really enjoy the usual content. I got my speed-goat buck this year opening morning but I somewhat envy you for the extra time you got to spend out chasing them. I've always been more of a "take the first legal buck you see" kind of gal but I think on my next tag I will hold out. The longer I do it and the more game I kill the more I realize its about the time spent and animal is just the cherry on top.

It's always a trade-off between making the most of the time you have and being a bit more selective. That's the beauty of hunting - the hunter gets to decide what they want out of the hunt. Good luck on your next pronghorn hunt.

Randy I appreciate you sharing your adventure with us. Like in this instance I have never been fortunate if I've passed on a respectable opportunity early in the hunt. Some people can pull off the last day, last hour down to the wire scenario. But not me and apparently you may be likewise afflicted. I enjoy your content regardless.

Sometimes I can pull it off. If not for self-filming, I think it would have come together. When filming myself, it needs the absolute perfect set up. It sure was a fun way to milk the pronghorn season for more days than I normally get.
@johnecrouch267113 күн бұрын
I like to stretch my pronghorn season out too whenever I’m fortunate enough to draw a tag. You’d think living in Wyoming that wouldn’t be a problem. But due to some brutal winters that seem to come about every 3-4 years our pronghorns in western WY are struggling. In my mid twenties I could draw about every other year. Now it’s about every 5-6 years. I’m in my mid sixties now so I don’t know how many more times I’ll have the privilege of chasing pronghorns.

My late grandpa had a saying. You can't eat the horns. So, if it was legal, it was good to take.

That's what my Dad and grandpa said, also. I feel lucky to get to hunt this much, even if I don't need to fill every tag.

You're right, but if it were that easy I'd do it every trip, even while filming myself. I do make it a bit more challenging than I need to.

Hey Randy have you ever had any experiences with altitude sickness or anyone you know that has had issues with I'm coming from Indiana headed to Colorado for second rifle this year is there any advice you could give
@Fresh_Tracks13 күн бұрын
I've not, but I know some who have. It is serious stuff, especially for those with other underlying health issues or heart complications. Take it seriously and find out how many days of acclimation your doctor recommends.

Only bucks with horns still attached? I've hunted antelope in Montana for 20 years and now California for the past 5 years and I've never heard of or seen antelope dropping their horns😮. Were you joking or is someone capturing them and removing their horns? 😂😂😂😂😂 😂😂
@johnmorley666313 күн бұрын
They drop them every year. Only horned animal that sheds.
@Fresh_Tracks13 күн бұрын
If you've never seen bucks that have dropped, you've likely never studied them in early November. I shot one in 1996 in November. His horns fell off when he hit the ground. When I walked up to him, I thought I had shot a doe, only to find the horns in the snow nearby.

OK, born and raised never left I drew one antelope tag in my 20s. I drew one last year. Ever heard of anybody else getting 12 bonus points on an antelope?- where is actual antelope hunting in Montana that is not just people sitting on the road shooting at each other ? I’m not trying to sound like a douche bag I’m dead serious I did not enjoy my time on the bma outside of ringling - I drive by that area all the time and I have thought to myself boy if I ever draw this day, wouldn’t that be amazing - frankly I felt terrible for those poor antelope

Sometimes it doesn't work out. No worries. I had fun. If I had been able to hunt opening weekend, before they got pushed to private, I suspect there would have been a filled tag.

They are my favorite and not having more pronghorn meat is the disappointment of not filling the tag. Other than that, it was a blast.

This is a true story that happened around the year 2000. I was hunting north of Chester, MT with my son and three other friends. They had all tagged their antelope, and it was our last day hunting. So, one of the other guys went with me in my truck riding a gravel road. We saw a large group of about 30 antelope in a dry lakebed just off the road. I turned down a two-track toward them and they got up and started running across the sage brush. I followed them across the landscape at increasing speed. There were a couple of bucks in the group, one near the back. I told my buddy that I was going to slow down and bail out with my rifle and take a shot. He needed to grab the wheel. So, that’s what I did. I hit the ground, led the running buck by about a foot, and down he went. Not quite as daring as an Indian killing buffalo from horseback, but sometimes you got to do whatever it takes.
